BTW, I do not consider it an exploit because the players aren’t doing anything weird to trigger it, they just stay far from the place, what gonna happen anyway if they just leave and go to any other place.
You can also go to this place on Eternal Pool to report a lot of other players farming the Viridulon the Rootbound:
Anytime I’m at Eternal Pool and see people doing that, I’ll pull that boss to reset him once they get him low. Screw them.
This isn’t even an exploit and just seems to be the mechanic of the game that people are just doing

Who in their right mind wouldn’t do this once they know about it, if AGS deems this to be a problem it’s on them actually correct it is it’s players just using game mechanics as intended pretty much
It’s not force spawning anything by doing a weird action it’s just moving out of their spawn zone

Lmao wait till you see how people solo elite chests in scorched mines bugging out the elites. This is hardly an exploit, that rock is also a safe place to wait for respawn, just so happens to affect the respawn rate based on the way the game was designed. I do fay when I’m semi afk and just tab over once in a while to kill it when it’s up.
Also today in reek elites after killing brute someone said to climb up the corner, which also reset that spawn and another person said not to because it was an exploit, yet there is a monster sitting at the spot you climb to. Is killing that monster exploiting since it’s respawning the brute if it’s something you’d do through normal exploration?
Same with the tentacles, they added all this climbing as a feature of the game, and the rocks have a path to let you climb up there, hardly an exploit.

As i said in the post i come to farm the boss myself but not standing and wait for a quick respawn i always have been standing in front of the chest where the boss spawns every 7 minutes and they kcked me for a simple reason wasnt attacking the boss because during that time i was talking to live support asking if its legal what they are doing and to make a picture of the guys i stand in the same spot they was standing so i could catch up all names and everything
Exploit or bug, no one is getting banned for this. Informing support will not lead anywhere. Join them or don’t, stand nearer the mob to make the respawn longer or don’t, but coming to the forums to call them out as if they’re doing some unforgivable act is a little too much drama.
If AGS changes it someday so be it. But either take advantage or don’t, but this is a little much.
By just reading the responses in this thread its very clear who would take advantage of using a mechanic in a way that it was not intended and who wouldn’t.
Your best bet is to just report people you catch doing this privately and leave it at that.
Some will see this as an exploit and others will not. But here is a little break down with some math to help show what doing something like this leads too.
Let’s say there is a group farming the mob and it takes them 2 minutes to kill it and it has a 7 minute respawn timer. That group could kill that mob 160 times in a 24 hour time frame.
Now let’s look at it from the stand point of those who go to the location which causes the mob to respawn in 2 to 3 minutes and also takes 2 minutes to kill it. That group would be able to kill this mob 360 to 288 times in a 24 hour period.
This could increase your odds of getting rare loot or higher watermark whatever it is you are killing the mob for drastically in a way that was not intended.
So is the mechanic working as intended, I would say yes. However, I would say that this group found/understands how the mechanic works and found a way to make it benefit themselves in a way that it was not intended.
I have farmed this boss extensively clearing everything around it while farming on the normal timer. I have increased my lumbering to 190 and gathering as well. We had been doing this for a couple of weeks until the Asmongold review came out and I noticed a huge increase in players doing this. As far as an exploit I do not know if the proximity timer is an actual exploit here but a server mechanic that people figured out and use. You can also take a large group and clear mobs away and the boss responds quicker. I would also like to add I recently had to kill lvl 63 elites in Superior and farmed the riflemen and the mobs without legs I could solo. because they were far apart I would go back and forth to them. This would cause a proximity reset as well I noticed. So when talking about a boss or just elite mobs the entire world has this mechanic. You would have to take in consideration that this is happening everywhere. The best thing to do is take out that proximity reset and put a universal timer worldwide IMO.
If you think the reset is bad on this one don’t even look at the Edengrove Faye boss. 1 min respawn and no proximity.
How can anyone with an ounce of intelligence consider farming a boss an exploit? Amazon set the respawn timers and mechanics, they obviously intended this behavior. The boss is 100% able to fight back and kill you. There is nothing exploitative about this.
That’s not on players, that’s on piss poor game design.
how can this be an exploit? everything in the game to farm for gearscore or drop/loots. I’m beginning to lose track about how the game is managing about this. Playing MMO requires player to farm to get a unique drop, loots but doing this is an exploit?
The elite in Genesis that re-spawn an elite when you go somewhere then kill it again? I believe thats an exploit.
An open world elite that spawns and spawns again shouldnt be an exploit. come on DEV and SUPPORT TEAM.

If what they are doing is a exploit, they will get banned. Except, they wont because its not a god damn exploit. They doing nothing out of norm. New world community is the most wetwipe, spineless and disgusting community i ever saw in any MMO.
They dont like something, its an exploit. They dont understand something, its an exploit. They are to lazy to do something while others grind for it, its an exploit. And this all under the banner “i want to make the game better”. Better for who? For yourself? Great, no one asked or cares.

It was only identified as an exploit for instant respawning (“chain respawning”). Several minutes is not instant respawning.
Farming a single elite for a drop that MIGHT increase one of your WMs is boring but each to their own on how to farm upwards! Why I love these games, you don’t have to follow the beaten path!

You can actually get him to respawn every 1 min 10-15 seconds if you know what you’re really doing.
