I’m done with the game after 1948.9 hours “played” or rather have it running.
Main reasons:
Content became very monotonous overall but specially the PvE aspect.
Every day farm for almost no return in crafting.
Endless pvp pushes, invasions, wars but always same dull thing.
Even on the lower pop server Abaton after playing on Barri for months all sort of mats are contested litteraly every hour of day.
Weapons became very imbalanced in small and big fights, just go IG with anything and your fine. Blunderbuss is going to make IG/BB … the only viable thing. So it’s not broken even on a 5 INT build? Doesn’t rly seem to matter what u do, just equipped an IG + X
The primary reason is you almost see no progress at some point and the one you make is almost irrelevant and yet everyday you have to ‘fight’ over good resource rotations.
I had fun tho and no regrets… the €40 was the best ROI I had in years.
Like every 2nd topic is cry about ice shower. Skill wasnt changed last few months. After it was originaly nerfed with many other IG skills. It is not and never was and issue.
Issue is dsync and fact that you can use this weapon with other weapons that have hard cc even if u have 5 int points on your buildl. This is the broken part of the game.
It’s not even close to a cry, the remark was even a small portion of this post. But let’s be honest, if a IG/NT build wins fights close combat vs a melee, u need to rework balance. If u dont agree with taht u are either biased and partial cause u play it, or you dont have a good judgement.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, abilities need to interact with attributes. They should have a base functionality and then become empowered by different attribute thresholds.
IG shower should not root into you hit enough intelligence. Fleche should basically be a small hop of a dash until you hit a certain Dex threshold or an even higher intelligence threshold.
Most weapon nerfs are happening because they are being used as off hand weapons for stupid strong utility or cc and not for damage at all, making the attribute system pointless.
If you miss ice shower its 30sec where only defence you have is dodge limited by stamina.
From other hand when mele hits mage with 1 cc and have dmg to follow up or any other cc to make it perma cc its gg.
Storm/shower/spike into alt weapon if he isn’t dead yet. All skills are fast and can’t break out of the combo chain. And ur nmy just stands there. If u can’t dodge GA/WH cc’s you have a slow reaction speed or need to put an escape in your build. It seems u don’t even play with weapon swap lol. Since your remark about lack of escapes.
Give me one escape for shower and I’m happy and they can buff IG for all I care. At least then it’s on me to get better VS IG players.
GL trying to escape any CC when there are 3+ ppl trying to cc chain you. No matter how good you reaction is at some point you have no stamina and cc chain starts and you just die.
And there is no esapce ice shower. You have to bait it out and then you have free 25-30sec to kill mage.
I think the dev team is starting to listen & make better decisions, take a break if you want, I am taking one but keeping tabs on how changes are coming along.
I think this game is entering a new phase of development, amounting to what probably should have happened in beta, maybe in a few months time it will be in a condition worth returning to.
A lot still needs to happen yet but still, if the studio puts in the work it could yet realise some of the potential the game has.
