Feedback on Kronos Merge

Thank you for at least trying to address the situation on the original Kronos with regards to balancing the players across all factions.

Let me give you all an insight to what Kronos was like pre merge.

So, one big gaming community called Hijos De Durin (Green) completely destroyed our server, I was told they came from a legacy server and were pretty good at what they did. They practically owned every piece of territory pre-merge and took along with them the good players from opposing factions. So then no one would challenge them as companies from other factions fell apart and people quit.

So then after the merge. The first evening after the merge was fantastic. I had never ever seen so much Open World PvP happen. It was amazing, the server was alive, it was electric. I even stayed up most of the night enjoying this “new content” so to speak. Opening night we had in excess of 2k players online at the same time, it was lovely. Fast forward a week, we had roughly 1200 players online.

Fast forward another week we have 1300 online now and now we have the same issue again as before yet this time with another green company. The company is called Full Purge Reborn. They say that they want wars and they take all the good players again from the covenant and the syndicate. I can see it happening all over again with regards to territories. So not only are they killing the game for other players but by taking good players to them they are killing it for themselves as no on will challenge them again soon as there will be no one left.

Please open New World Character Transfers, as I want out.

How is that not balanced and dominated by one company?

This is actually very common across all Servers post-merge. There is this amazing irony how people will be all “We need a server merge!”, then the servers get merged, and guess what? Most of the people who wanted that merge feel they are in a worse off place because either: a) They were the “merged” server and lost everything b) The server they were merged into may be economically worse than the server being merged c) Now there is more competition, more players better than they are, and suddenly they lose interest because the reality of the merge did not meet their expectations… some of which were wholly unrealistic.

As far as the Company sucking up all the “good” players… we had a similar Syndicate Company on what was Devourer and is now Amarah. Truth be told, the players they are recruiting are probably just “War Loggers”, meaning they only log in to play in wars. Other than Wars, they are not contributing to the rest of the game… and honestly for some I don’t blame them at all.

The greatest asset that every MMO has is also it’s biggest unsolvable bug… the actual players. With that said, I don’t think your problem is solvable by AGS, and it is not unique to your server. This is a player-base created problem, and the player-base needs to solve it… perhaps by getting players together that can match the War Loggers, but that requires putting a lot of Egos aside.

Finally, I think Fresh Start Server Transfers should be opened up. The spiral described above of Fresh Start Servers will accelerate with Transfers to other Fresh Start Servers and allow the full culling of the herd so to speak.

I would reiterate that I do NOT believe there should EVER be Fresh Start Transfers to Legacy Servers and vice-versa. I think it has proven an invaluable learning experience having the two separate world sets… and I think co-mingling the Character Sets at this point would be polluting the playerbase further.

I know of at least 2 companies on that map right now that dont have a war roster anymore due to the other company sucking up the good players from them.
