To make azoth meaningfull you can add some shrine that grants a small bonus to players.
Stuff that are not game breaking like damage etc.
Example :
- 5% more exp for 1 hour if you spend 300 azoth.
- 5% speed out of combat.
- 25% more corrupted/blight resistance
- 5% more gathering
- more “faction points”
again, not big stuff that can break the combat but only stuff that gives a bit of bonus just for the sake of spending this azoth.
