This is utter nonsense spoken by people secretly bothered by LGBTQ representation. There is no reason you can’t have masculine, feminine and gender neutral skins. Acting like “PC” is forcing everyone to be gender neutral is insane. It absolutely isn’t. There is tons of masculine and feminine (mostly overly sexualized) representation across thousands of media/entertainment platforms every day.
Not sure if all armors received update but Chardis armor in PTR has female version
What we need is a diversity and transmogrification
Definitely agree for 100% manly outfits, 100% feminine and mixed for everyone else ![]()
This is a big complain… seen it so many times, and i don’t think there was any aknowledgement…
The community is split about a lot of things, but i think the subpar outfits, is something most of us can agree on. (Subpar compared to in-game armors, not even other games).
I have no idea why a game that has so many well done system has such poor costumes…
I don’t understand how/why they don’t see that it cheapens the game releasing stuff like this.
I can say i see some improvement over time…I would just like to see more after 1 year of “testing the waters”…
Just my 2 cents.
PS: I do think some very few costumes, do look good… but you know having 1 or 2 costumes that look alright after over a year… feels a bit little to me, especially when compared to games like BDO where every 2 weeks they release a costume that looks AMAZING. You’re hardpressed to find costumes that dont look amazing.
When we talk about female costumes/armors, i think its a big shame that the in game NPCs that we fight look better then the player characters. Look at the geisha dress… nothing like that for female characters, and there are many more examples. Costumes that dont need to be just Bikini to be “Feminine” and “Appealing”.
Couldn’t agree more. For a game that is funded by its cosmetics store, it would not be hard to make the cosmetics more appealing.
They should limit them less to some kind of “style” (which is already wildly all over the place) and go for fashionable looks in addition to the military/angry earth stuff. The Bloodthirsty Count set was pretty good (and Black Widow life staff). Imagine how many they could see of a black dress of some kind to go with it. Yeah, clowns would wear dresses on “Body Type A” characters, but they already put beards on “Body Type B” so what’s the big deal. Not to mention that they can customize the skins for each body type.
Feminine doesn’t automatically mean “stripper”.
People with this kind of take need not apply. lol
But i wants my clear heels
I believe people like that are called incels ![]()
I don’t see anyone asking for giggling long-legged girls in mini skirts, high heels and bunny hats. There are already dresses in the game actually, some of the low level cloth armor. There should be more “elite” equivalents.
and even those look like brown paper bags thrown over the character…
Knight of Devotion female version is somewhat like that. It’s the only feminine looking skin really.
I guess we just need more of it then.
Shieldmaidens, valkyries, amazonians, battle angels… whatever we want to call them… we need more of them.
Since there is already one valkyrie type armor set, I think a sorceress dress would be the next thing to make. And the male version could just be a long robe as other games do it.
I would be okay with it, but they definitely need to add more, and make them more feminine… the “brown bag” and “potato bag” look isn’t appealing.
I think the character models have enough to work with, you could make pretty good outfits for them. They aren’t the sexiest shape and that is a little of why those dresses look a bit dumpy but they are pretty good shaped.
I actually like those vaguely dirndl looking outfits in NW. FFXIV has real dirndls and they are amazing, even though they don’t fit in the style of that game very well. In this case they would fit better. Not saying NW necessarily needs a dirndl-type skin but that’d be a start. Even better if we could dye them…
would be amazing if we could use every gear we obtain as a transmog item… AND dye all skins too. Would allow for some better customization.
