This game indeed feels like a second job. I stopped around lvl 48 because the mobs were getting annoying and no matter how hard I try I would aggro entire zone for some reason and then feel like a rag doll being punched back and forth. On top of that the crazy respawn rate makes it really tideous. I noticed my mood has improved a lot better now that I don’t care about combat and just do some gathering once or twice a week when I feel like logging in.

with the town buffs i can routinely craft leggos sometimes with great perks - but i just feel like what’s the point now, everyone of my RL friends is so discouraged about the state of the game, it just lost all the luster sadly
Hopefully this game will be back stronger in a years time or so.
The thing i hate most about releasing unfinished products is that it removes the joy of working hard to get on top and feel like you are a part of the community.
Coming back will be a chatching up game instead, and its just not fun.
Get into Diablo, BDO or other sologames, I agree that those will suit you and most here much better. New world is a group game and prolly not for you then. Chestruns were never intended like the players did it. U should need a tank to contain and healer to keep you up in a 5 man group. Not running around jumping on stones and laying down behind chests or just front face smashing everything as a DD.

They are sad because he thinks EU is the center of the universe…how could AGS do maintenance in primetime for EU…
They forget there are different timezones and whenever they do maintenance will be prime time for someone in the world…
Funniest is when maintenance are on weekdays at 9am and some still claim it’s prime time xD
I feel you OP. I took the same direction a week ago and it was pretty tough cause I love the game, I enjoyed playing it SO much… but everyone has a limit. I couldn’t stand with the infamous x4 crafting system, the highly increased difficulty of some elite areas, the cut down chest drops… You don’t make those game-changing changes when your product is fully developed, you do that developing a beat, even on early-access… Oh, guess what!. I will never accept that kind of game-breaking changes at this stage of the game.
I’m with you, this game has the potential of becoming one of the best ever mmo’s but all the stuff happening is plain and simple awful. “They” (whoever they are, devs, a single person, uncle Jeff… whatever) are going bad choice after bad choice, issue after issue. I fear we will not have a peek back to take in some time if they don’t make a 180º degree turn asap, cause game is sinking and fanbase are running away.
If you love the game you just did not quit and you’re lying fir some odd reason.

Bye ! I have just uninstalled the game and I will come back in few months too.
Maybe after New Year they will make this game fun to play with less problems.

A heads up about BDO:
The new player experience is amazing, the combat is fast paced and fun, but networking technology isn’t quite up to par for BDO’s combat to function properly in pvp (a lot of desync). The gameplay is essentially grinding mobs for hours on end ad-infinitum. New World’s “grind” has absolutely nothing on Black Desert Online, and there is no system to normalize gear in pvp. Players who have thousands of hours will literally one shot you and your attacks will tickle them. I personally play BDO hard-core for a few months each year, and I’m near the bottom of the top 10% of gearscore (615). Players who are 650-700+ kill me in one or two hits, whereas it would take me multiple burst rotations to kill them. It is a fun game, but I want you to know what you’re actually getting into.
Greatly appreciate that. Yeah maybe ive been “wowed” by the early content etc (its amazing), but i am really looking for something that will hold me for years, not months or weeks.
