~This is separate from the previous issue of the cap not changing from 25,000 tokens at the final tier.~
I completed the mission to achieve the final rank of “Alchemist” in the Syndicate faction today. Part of the reward is 12,000 tokens. However, instead of the token cap increasing with the new rank and then receiving the tokens, your account is given the tokens before the cap change. With the old cap being at 25,000, if you have more than 13,000 tokens already, then some of the tokens from the reward go to waste.
For example, I had over 20,000 tokens before turning in the Alchemist Trial quest. I was awarded 12,000 tokens, but because the cap was 25,000 from the previous rank, I went up to 25,000 and received no more. The 25,000 token cap was removed, but I only had 25,000 tokens. I lost thousands of tokens due of this issue. A friend of mine completed this quest last night and had the same issue.
If it is intended to work this way, I wish I would have known that before so I could have spent some to go below 13,000 before turning it in. It is unfortunate to lose thousands of tokens and have to complete more missions to earn back the amount I would have had. I have turned in more missions since this issue and I am able to go over 25,000, so I know this is a separate issue from when accounts were getting stuck at the 25k cap.
