I kind of feel this way now as well.

700 hours…
Like 8 hours a day…
So you played a GAME like a job for 3 months then don’t like it. Got ya!

Maybe we should start caring?

I have 750 hours in this game. I have nearly everything maxed out, including WM. I’ve clearly played a lot, and I intend to play for a long time (if the game survives).

But regardless of these facts, I find it almost scary how delusional some of the people on these forums are. The game literally lost 90% of its initial population and still, “game stabilized”.

Seriously, how delusional can you be? Will you come here in 2-3 weeks and tell us how the game stabilized at “70k”? And then a month from now at “50k”?

As someone who routinely bashes bad dev decisions and in Alpha naively assumed the game would stabilize at around 200k-250k, I doubt the game will see anymore downward trends in the next 3 months or so.

However, without significant core changes in things like combat and content, I doubt it’ll grow much either.

Right now, New World’s combat is dumbed down and notably worse than it was a year ago, and the content that they sacrificed combat for is just a series of disrespectful grinds.

The developer interviews do little to garner hope because the words they choose to use don’t seem to acknowledge underlying issues.

These posts about numbers you keep talking about are sad man. Get over it. The games only 4 mos out broski

Ye, the game lost 80-90% of its playerbase and it stabilised 3 weeks ago. Its not hard to read charts. We have the same peak players for 3 weeks now, how else would you call it other than the population stabilised?

Ofc you are bored if you´ve done everything in this game. Wait for next content. The game is too young to have content for thousands of hours.

They’re like liberals. Don’t live in reality and think life is all peaches and cream

If they are friendless neck beards as you so eloquently put it, why don’t you use your strength and prowess to take back the territory with all of your friends?

Lmao, stabilized. Get your head outta the sand; New world will continue to bleed a large portion of it’s player base for months to come. The vast majority of us who played this game feel the exact same way OP does. That’s why we stopped playing.

Ye its totally normal to stop playing a game after you play it 8 hours a day every day since launch  If the game has a limited content you always reach a point where you have nothing to do, especially in MMOs. You know how booming is WoW after new expansion? A lot of players come back and play, 2 months later? They got nothing to do and are bored and quit. Is that because WoW is a bad game? Hardly.

Will NW bleed? Yes, unless they come with content update which they will, so, I don´t worry about the future. It will be just like any other MMO. New content - people come back, then quit playing until new content is added again.

And yes, population is stabilised for now. Some people quit playing but new players come. We basically have the same peak players since 8th December.

I care, and you don’t speak for me.
Who wants to play a MMO without players?
Think before you speak.

thats not what ‘mmo’ means… LOL
mmo does not mean you have to group

Peace! Good luck out there.

nah, people are different, they have different motivations and goals. Not everyone wants to be king

you mean, like a sandbox? cause for decades that is exactly what many players have wanted. we are having a great time. sorry you didn’t fit as well. i hope you find something that matches your opinion of what an mmo should be like we have.

Imagine AGS spending 250 million to make a niche game with no subscription.

It stands more to reason that it’s a dry run of the engine or something. This feels so distant from an effort to make a game with lasting value.
