Finally had it with this game's performance

i had a 1080 and a 6700k, but even with your slightly better config, 40 fps is really all you can hope for as the game is so terribly optimized and it gets worse every patch it feels like.

i remember times when i didn’t struggle with fps on my old pc.

now i have a new pc and don’t even play the game anymore as im waiting for many good things to happen so it’s playable again, but that’s a different topic xD

Got kind of same specs except regular 1080 and 16gb 3600 mhz.

My PC get’s destroyed in dense moments too, to the point in OPR mid I play at 20 fps.

It’s expectable though, but this game could use some optimization for sure.
Like where is DLLS .

@Zenerith are you playing on 32 Inches TV ?

it’s your cpu

recommended CPU
intel® Core™ i7-2600K/AMD Ryzen 5 1400

i upgraded my CPU and i don’t have low frames anymore

If you don t mind i ll wait for his reply

Cpu is keeping you back. ITs 5 years old 4 core cpu. Its not good enough for todays gaming. Especialy for NW that is very cpu demanding game.

Get new CPU.

I had the Ryzen 2600x which is supposedly superior to the 7700k and I was lagging.
Got the Ryzen 5600 and lag gone. Trust me it’s the cpu
Your GPU is fine

I had OPR drops on fps to 60 on Ryzen 2700x. Bough 5800x3d and drops are gone.
But even on that cpu i have 8 cores on load all the time when other players are around on 80-99%.

That rig is like… 5-7 years old bro

GPU overlock is not necessuary, you can skip it

game optimization is horrendous and this is sadly probably like the 100th post on this topic

its not the hardware

I have the same specs, did not overclock though

can confirm it is a struggle to maintain 60 fps in or near towns or anywhere with more than 5 people.

lowest dip was to 20 fps in a chest zerg

No, I’m actually only on a 27" monitor. I find it really hard to believe its the CPU based on what AGS has listed as the recommended unless they just missed the mark significantly.

Those recommended specs will probably get you like 30-45fps in the open world which is deemed as playable in sight seeing games i guess? Either way youre wrong, upgrading to a recently released cpu from 1-3 years ago will increase your fps on this game massively without the need to change your gpu

I run the game flawlessly on 2K with a 1060 6GB, i5-10600KF and 16GB of DDR4, I get stable 62 fps in OPR and 55-62 fps in Wars, Open World I get 62fps but I have it locked, when I had it unlocked I could get 80-90 FPS in the open world.

Settings are all LOW but due to 2K image scaling it looks like a 1080p in Ultra.

I can watch videos and have +12 tabs opened while still having 62FPS in game, my native monitor is 2k, so I use image scaling and set the in game resolution to 1080p, so I get the 2k quality and the performance of a 1080 resolution.

I highly recommend this video: 🔧 How to Optimize Nvidia Control Panel For GAMING & Performance The Ultimate GUIDE 2022 *NEW* - YouTube

Bro you have 1080ti and u tried to play in higher than 1080?
The hell you’re smoking lol

Also the guy above saying low looks good on his 2k monitor you both gotta be trolling XD
NW on low looks like runescape in hd, the difference between max and low is massive in nw
And you’re still playing in 1080 not 2k XDD

Oh, I was mistaken, Textures are on High and Terrain is on Medium.

And you’re still playing in 1080 not 2k XDD

Image Scaling is insanely good at what it does on my PC.

Game looks incredible to me, I guess we have different standards.

Finaly you answered me  i am on 27 too so listen

Go to your Library in New World, right click on New World Properties and select the
Parse the File New World Launcher.exe (right click on it)
Check compatibility
because you and i are playing on 24 inches+ monitor, we have to overide the display setting, i ll show you in french so find it in english

Then shut down Steam and Computer, restart Computer and Steam and let me know if it helped you in the next few days  Good Luck
