Finally hit 60 - casual player rant

You can check effective HP comparisons between 520-625 armor in a chart I posted above in my posts (not my chart). For instance effective HP difference between 520 light gear and 625 light gear is 5,5%.

I will try to find someone for tests later today and test it.

I have GS620, and started again after I stopped playing. And I tell you, the difference is noticeable and enough.

Numbers don’t lie. Just test it yourself.

Please make it a video. With musket numbers you still roll 600+ GS for the rest of your gear. What I would love to see, and can’t do myself, is to see 540 vs 625 GS player. Actual hits, real numbers.

Ideally with the faction team in any case.

There is no PvP scaling, straw doll is the same valid target as anything else for comparison purposes. But i will post numbers with pvp tests, maybe it will persuade you.

I hope so, in any case, the experience of 500-600 will still be bad haha

PS: it’s better that you get 1 threshold for every lvl 60+ mob you kill and you decide what you spend it on from GS500 upwards, than a system per RNG.

I think from like 521 to 600, Armor mitigation of damage is pretty poor. The damage dealt by them isnt too far off, but the amount you take from armor mitigation has to be off too right?

That’s a very very dumb calculation. First of all you get many many bumbs through elite chests and Dungeons and second, as a new 60 you don’t need every weapon to 600gs.

That doesn’t mean, I think the system is good as it is. As mentioned above, they should remove the cap of a single gypsum cast. Then they should set the amount of certain gypsum higher. Three diamond four example. And most important, they should give pvp only players a chance to get to 600 in a reasonable time and way. Every three arenas one gypsum or so. Ruby gypsum only one needed and as reward in the track from the beginning.

So I did some testing with a 625 musket player (thank you for your help m8), here are the results:

Stats with 535 GS (10-15 lower than fresh lvl 60 with TP gear) here:

From these pictures you can see as follows:

Headshot dmg - 3.571 damage into 535 gear vs 3.379 damage into 622 gear which results in 5,6% defensive difference

Critical hit dmg - 3.235 damage into 535 gear vs 3.083 damage into 622 gear which results in 4,9% defensive difference

Normal dmg - 2.815 damage into 535 gear vs 2.702 dmg into 622 gear which results in 4,1% defensive difference

As you can see, average defensive difference between my 5x resilient 535 gear and 5x resilient 622 gear was 4,86%. The actual difference is even lower because I got 1x physical aversion on my 622 gear whereas I got zero on my 535 gear.

Conclusion: Defensive difference between fresh player with AH gear and 622 geared player is almost negligible.

Noncrit dmg difference between 622 gear and 535 was 1.439 vs 1.106 (1.262 with fire chain) which results in exactly 30,1% dmg increase, with fire chain counted its 14% increase.

Headshot dmg difference between 622 gear and 535 was 2.040 vs 1.471 (1.642 with fire chain) which results in 38,6% dmg increase, with fire chain counted its 24% increase. 38,6% dmg difference is with 12% crit dmg from Infamy, I don´t have crit dmg increase on my 541 test musket so its not that exact.

Conclusion: Offensive difference between fresh player with AH gear and 622 geared player is around 30%.

You don’t get many bumps. I have a fresh lvl 60 account as well as old maxed out lvl 60. I can get 2-3 bumps for the whole chest run train (mines, myrk, palace, sirens, angry earth). It was much different before gypsum patch. Dungeons sure, but i had massive problems finding members or groups on my server as everyone want to optimize for speed and taking low gs player is a pain.

GS it is terrible, feels terrible and it is just lazy leveling design.

What the sand whatever new area will be? hey the max lvl now is 70! But hey grind (BORING) you GS to 800 if you want the final power.

Maybe one day I find the MMO that I can enjoy again… From what I can see New world it is not going that way.

Awesome, thanks. That’s what I see when I watch low GS players play. They don’t die that fast, but they just do way too less damage to kill someone.

About the war content…
Have you ever played Rising Force Online? We had 3 global wars a day, you could go and do whatever you want. The 3 races fight against each other, their leaders were chosen by vote and they could send messages to talk with the race… That was fun as hell. One day I decided to just play as scout and check from where the enemy was coming, I just msged the leader (I didnt know him), gave the tip and we were able to protect the race. That was almost 20 years ago and I still remember, because was fun as hell.
The game had GvG too, was ok but the main fun of the game… everyone could enjoy.
I was a solo player and was able to have my fun in a war. The game died because of other reasons, but that small part… I really liked.

So yeah… lock the wars behind the Higher GS Guilds… really fun system.
