Yes, i know, fire staff deals damage to a wider area (does it?), but man when iam in a 1-1 vs a healer or ga player u cant do anything.
I dont even have enough burst to deal enough damage to someone who plays hammer and heal staff as secondary weapon. Hes always full and i have really good equipment i would say with the bis perks also and around 340 int.
Pillar of fire is so garbage now. While i cast it, which takes around 1-1.5 seconds my friend with ga deals 5k damage lol. Damageoutput of ga is insane and with these wide steps during light attacks there is no chance to escape. PoF deals uncrit around 1.3k damage. This is like a crit light attack lmao. Idk what the devs are balancing there but this is not the right direction. Fire mage was really really strong before the patch but now hes just a joke. My little brother can spam light attacks and press sometimes keys for abilities and will win vs. every fire mage. Its just dumb. As a fm you have so many skill shots which deal compared to ga not enough damage.
