Hello there! As a fire mage I was very happy about the proposed buffs to the weapon. Being able to crit with fireball again is going to be a huge deal. However, the increased effect radius is a little much, since fireball is already a very easy ability to hit. I suggest you leave the current effect area just the way it is on the life server. Despite the nerfs to it, fire staff always had the potential of being a very oppressive weapon if you are good at landing your shots. Like I said, I really appreciate the buffs, just don’t overdo it. Sorry for being the party pooper.
Pre nerf fire staff was already a very capable weapon in the right hands and it arguably still is. The radius increase on fireball is simply not necessary in my opinion. I’d rather have firestaff’s mediocre damage increased instead of blatantly making it easier to use. It makes more sense to raise the potential of the weapon, not its skill floor.
I think Fixing the camera when aiming would make people 1000% happier. Let us raise the target that is currently fixed at eye-level.
Like, who likes looking at their character’s ass when aiming with a Firestaff or LS? Pursuing realism in all aspects makes players extremely uncomfortable. I hate FS for this. It’s the ONLY game where I don’t play Mage.
You’re right, It can get quite annoying. One might argue that it forces you to make a decision between aiming and having a good view of your surroundings, but I’m quite sure there could be a middle ground between the two. Besides, my character’s ass looks rather nice.
That’s not how balancing should work. “I want my build to be imbalanced for a while because some other builds got to be imbalanced as well.” Sorry, but that’s the wrong approach.
