FS need a rework. Fact ppl do play it does not make it top weapon. Anything you combine BB with will be usable.

Maybe on your server. On my you dont see many fs/ig. From time to time, sure. But there are like 3-4 dudes playing that build on arena.

opr maybe 2-4 on both teams together
in war 1-2 
in war none.

If they are exceptional you will see one some times if the company is lacking on dex.
Sometimes in the enemy team there are some FS. Always makes our army laugh, because then it is a meme war.
And it does not make me happy, because I would play FS too (in wars) if it were any good.
So it is ice/bb for me.
People that play FS without BB are just doing it because they like the weapons, not because it is good. And you see them mostly in arena because it is the only game mode where it does any good. Yea there is a Flamethrower/pylon build that people sometimes use to cheese arenas, but against any good/decent player it’s useless
You don’t see spear (used to, before greatsword), Fire Staff, or rapier (other than defensively by healers).
Guess all 3 need heavily buffed, based on war usage.

Odd. On my server there are 3-4 fs/ig players. All others swapped to fs/bb or ig/bb or other builds.
I think bb is more effective paired with mage stuff, but I still see a lot of fire and ice mages.
Bb needs toned down a bit tho
Bb dmg alone is not a big issue. There are other weapons that can do crazy dmg to. Issue i think is utility: netshot armor perk and 50% fortify passive - this 2 are crazy.

On valhalla flamethrower is what wins arenas. It’s so annoying
Saying its the only game mode where it does good. While having two casual game modes is a bit funny.
How? How FT does win vs lets say bows? Or vs GS users? Sure if you have 3 FT on you - hp is dropping fast. But you should not have 3 any players on you in given time. And if you dont have 3FT on your, how you lose to FT? With what weapons setup?
Duels, 3v3s, OPR, wars, Mutations and normal expeditions are all game modes my guy. FS is only really effective in 3v3s out of all of them soo yea
Firestaff can be played, it is just that at the competitive level, it is considered weaker because:
- Bow are better at range
- BB/IG have better burst (200STR/165INT/150C)
- GS are just much more efficient and consistent at killing single target
- Freebie: Sun protection lower DOT damage by 17%
PVP is about burst most of the time, FT is a meme that kills beginners… the only burst is FB, we are missing a Fire Spike or something, until such happen, we are, unfortunately, an AOE damage machine.
Also people want Ice Shower and the truth is, playing FS/IG with shower instead of storm is just not great.

Also if you noticed most wars builds that are meta, perform bad in 3v3.
