Firestaff Vs Great Axe

You mean to tell me I can light attack with a great axe for 2k+ crits, but can’t heavy crit with a firestaff for over 2k right now?

how is this even real.

Do you mean using light and heavy firestaff attacks? I’m all for firestaff close range abilities doing extreme dps. But, as for a mage 1/4 chunking my 200 constitution heavy fit from a 1/4 mile away, not so much.

The title of this post: Worst Weapon vs Best Weapon

You’re critting? It’s like a holiday over here when a crit actually shows up from light or heavy attacks. Talking balloons, confetti, drunk people. But seriously, we’re basically the flies that farm animals flick away with their ears. What’s funny is that I started carrying an axe with my firestaff. Over 300 intell, maaaaybe 26 con and strength. I mean, I do have a 50% scaling gem in it and an additional perk on jewelry which add’s (I think) 5% damage for weapons with that gem. So I’m still a weakling. But MAN, I’ve stopped even taking my staff out doing PVE content and when I’m close to people in pvp. The damage is embarrassing and I’m frankly sick of taking damage as I fumble through the still ungodly clunky as fu… weapon swap. But with the axe I crit with basically every hit! And am still able to hit 2k+ crits with a mage build. After playing with it for a while, you realize that you’ve been bringing a nerf gun to a firefight

But all that being said. If you just love seeing little white 20’s float above a group of people…then…THE FIRESTAFF IS YOUR CHOICE BABY!
