Guys they need people to test out if something happened… if they merged 2 servers with an overall pop of 300 there wont be enough people to report the issues…
Honestly, I thought they would merge more servers together than just two, but I get that this is sort of a test. By the looks of it, it would make more sense if they had a bigger merger with those servers and a few more…
Here’s the other issue that they will need to think about: if you merge two 650 pop worlds, how many people will then come back to the game from those two, which might then take them over 2000 and end up having hour long queues etc…
My main server is down to 110 or so - but if we merged, that could easily double or triple. Repeat that over our entire world set and we could go from 110 to hours of queues and more people giving up.
My server averages around 40-60 players… We NEED a merge now.
But we NEED to merge all of our World Set together to make one server, as all of them are painfully low pop.
I agree with you here. There will be a few (but very loud) voices when mergers start on a larger scale, of territory owners that lost them, demanding huge compensation…
… but I gotta say, their loss is tiny compared to the huge gain the rest of us (and them) will experience. I’m not saying they shouldn’t get compensated, but it shouldn’t be extraordinary, nor the focus of the testing/implementation.
We have roughly 1300 player average on Ohonoo (US-East) and I would still love to see another 500 merged into it, its a big map more players would be great!
Can we please get some official statement saying yes all world sets will be merged into one. Its been pointless to log on for a full month as the only content I enjoy requires players playing the MMO and with 100-150 ppl on during peak times on a saturday. Closer to 50 on average, the game has been unplayable for that month.
Even if your merges are a month away, now I can at least use my token and know I’ll land back in my server with my friends. All while actually playing the game multiplayer as was intended (I think right, it is an MMO, but so many servers are singleplayer maybe it’s not intended).
