There is still a housing tax issue. Even with 10% tax rate + base tax (tier 4 house) it should be $2200. I have a territory discount and my taxes are still $1300+, new home owner tax discount did not kick in. I have paid taxes 3 times so far and I am out close to $5000. I should be playing under $1000 in tax…

Plus weren’t we supposed to receive a $2000 tax credit directly from the devs with the last update (I didn’t receive it if they did)? PLUS $2000 is not enough to cover losses as it is.
This is happening on the Loloi server (My characters name is Ken Whitman) and I’m sure all the other servers.
The taxes do not benefit from the first time home buyer discount. The UI initially did say that they would, but in the most recent patch the notes said they were fixing that UI issue, and that taxes were not meant to receive the discount, only the down payment.
Interesting, I must have missed that line in the patch notes. That is a huge issue though, only reason why I went for a t4 right away was for the tax discount. Thanks for the reply.
I did the same thing with my first house. I enjoy the storage chest bonus, but honestly, I would go back and buy the tiny house if given the chance again. With higher lvl storage chests you can easily hit 2k storage in your main town even with a small house, and you get the same trophies regardless of size.
Yeah things like this make me want to start over LOL, I have 4 t3 (hope chests) in my house. I need as much town storage since I am in a sense the company bank. Oh well! Can only move forward and just buy the tiny houses from here on out. Good luck to you out there and stay safe!
