Fishing Bots have returned today after being unseen all week since the patch/server reset. Please implement an anti-bot program/software/something like you did for the AFKers. Screen shots are the 1 star broad spot and the 2 star rare spot near Breakwater Bulwark and Stoneview Seabreak in Windward on the Zuvendis server.

Yeah, both servers I play on have the ‘funny names’ running the software macro that detects what you’ll retrieve as soon as you cast. You’ll see them cast-pull-cast-pull over and over again until pausing when they hook a rare chest, and then the program pulls it in for them since the treasure chest doesn’t have any variables on the reel-in like a fighting fish does.

The advertisement for 10,000 Yuan worth of items per day fishing is hard to pass up for some people running multiple accounts just to do this. Actually the site that was spammed in chat might have been 10,000 gold or something, didn’t really pay attention.

Bans for the ones doing that, and character/bank resets for those buying the gold to make this profitable are needed quickly, although I fear it may already be too late. They should have had a couple of GMs on each server with the job of just doing police work to prevent this. Heck, with Amazon’s resources, they could just go to the sites, make a purchase for a few gold, then ban/delete people they flag doing the transfers.

I reported a couple of fishing bots yesterday. Certainly ruins the immersion when trying to relax and enjoy a little fishing.

The “greys” are one thing, but the factioned level 30 something toons are another. First time I’ve seen those using a bot. And yes, they were all casting in unison and the cast.stop.cast method so I know it was a bot and not just some folks out doing “normal” fishing.

I guess this will keep happening now that they are re-opening the servers to new players as this was not occurring once they closed the servers off. Hoping they can implement something to detect/ban them sooner rather than later.
