Name in game is Olorin171 on server Vyraj. Dozens of reports have been made about this fishing bot and it seriously needs to get banned. It camps a hotspot in Windsward and is seriously messing with my fishing exp and monetary gains from using that hotspot.
Side note: I get gold has been removed from fished up treasure chests, but could there be tiered chests with better stuff in them? Aside from legendary fish maybe being used in end game food and town board quests, fishing has very little impact and relevance late game. Aside from knocking 200 fishing off the bucket list there’s little to no incentive to continue fishing when the materials gained from salvaged fish can be substituted in alchemy/arcana and are more easily obtained through harvesting. I enjoy fishing but there’s no real benefit to doing it and it would be nice to hear if there were plans to make the skill…useful.
