Fishing causes lag and game freezes

I tried leveling my fishing because of the 2x exp boost currently but every few catches I get insane lag and game freezes and sometimes last for 10 seconds or more and eventually kick me from game.

Ignore the CS response tbh.

It’s a VERY common issue atm. It’s a known bug. Something to do with the double xp event and fishing…kinda odd.

Anytime it starts doing it, i completely close the client and go back into the game. This fixes it for a bit for me.

I have the same issue, game freezes in fishing like crazy, something is wrong with this last patch for sure.

same issue here

Happened to 2 companymates during 2x xp as well. Caused them to crash as soon as opr started and of course they got the 1hr ban. I’ve also seen another memory leak recently I think from other gathering (as I don’t fish). My game normally Consumes 6 to 7 gb ram but I’ve on occasion now seen 13gb+. When this happens everything starts to stutter and lag terribly. Luckily with the amount of ram I have it didn’t crash but had to exit to desktop and restart each time.

This should be fixed with the upcoming patch

If you still experience the lag post-update, let me know.
