Lesath - Describe the issue you are experiencing:
An active hotspot with jumping fish used to produce a green success message when a cast lands in the hotspot.
Inactive hotspots and normal water would produce only white text about the water depth.
Since the recent patch, the hotspot does not produce the green message text any more when I land my cast inside an active hotspot.
This has also been observed by other players.
Bite-speed and catch-quality are in line with what I’d expect from an active hotspot, the catch as such is OK and I must conclude that the hotspot is active and it’s not just an erratic jumping fish animation but indeed the missing info-text. - Is this a bug or an exploit:
bug - (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay:
It became rather difficult to ascertain that I’m indeed fishing inside a hotspot or if I missed it - (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue:
no resolution or workaround available that I’m aware of - (if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced:
don’t think we need that, the explanation and steps to repro should suffice - What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced:
Find active fishing hotspot (jumping fish animation)
cast fishing rod
Land inside the hotspot
Note that the previously existing “green” message text that informs me that I’m fishing inside the active hotspot is gone and I only get the generic, “white” water-depth information
Update :
Fished my hotspot empty, jumping fish animation gone, the usual “white water circle” and catch rate back down to normal ratio.
Conclusion :
The hotspot works as it should be, it’s just the notification that has gone AWOL.
