They seriously need to buff the fishing treasure chests and fishing in general.
Have a chance to obtain 1 Azoth. Makes no sense something as quick and mindless as gathering herbs gets Azoth, while fishing doesn’t.
Gems(esp the flawed ones) and Precious Metal bars simply aren’t worth much nowadays; Either increase the chance for the Brilliant/Pristine Gems, or make it give some sort of monetary reward when the player is level 60 + finished the legendary fishing quest. (They can even create a new higher tier treasure box with specific requirements in order to get).
Increase fish variety in any given hotspot to spice it up.
Fix the legendary fish cooking recipes so it reflects the right ingredients. The +40 Con food said it needs Manje Manje(found in EF), but actually requires the Lava Barb from Shattered Mountain.
Fix the Ultimate fishing trophy, so many of the legendary fishes actually have a use instead of being a waste of space.
Fishing is extremely profitable. It is currently the best way to get working T4 Arcana Mats (CoD Eyes). I also get 3-4 chests per hotspot that net me good gems to use with JewelCrafting, I frequently get Brilliant gems.
The only thing I would like to see is them adding raw gold back into chests.
As for fish variety, no just no. That completely removes the purpose of fishing in certain zones for certain fish.
The cooking recipes and trophy do need to be fixed.
I really want to buff fishing but they need to correct the root of the problem first. All they really need to do is implement a simple puzzle system as a way to unlock the chests. This is a captcha yes but can be implemented in a non immersion breaking way. They can also have some locks that are more challenging and those will have better rewards. Simple.
I am selling Cod eyes. The other T4 mats are either extremely hard to farm or broken and do not work. CoD eyes are easy to get and sell for good money.
This seems really broken. Animal Eye and Animal Viscera are blue mats, but they don’t have the right tag to be used as base ingredients in potions… so instead we have to fall back on the fishing items (Cod Eye and Starfish).
What about placing legendary fish in your house? The description of Varanus Mandje says I can do that, but the housing editor won’t let me. I have no idea how this is supposed to work.
You must be really lucky with the chests. I am lvl 200 fishing for a while now and have opened 400+ chests, not many brilliant ones to speak of, and only 3 Pristine.
Not sure what they could do to buff it without pretty much handing it to the bots.
The way it is now, it is just better ro be fishing without most of the gear you worked to get.
This might be my personal luck but when i go fishing for oysters for 3 hours, only catch 6 oysters,3 sculpin, 3starfish maybe a few squid and like 90 treasure chest. It seems likeit would be better if they just removed the chests. Atleast most of the fish are usefull in 1 way or another
Give the chest the chance to increase your watermark via 1 random piece of gear (not every box should have gear mind you). Put some blueprints in them.
