Fishing Questline not proceeding past Ecological Report

• What is your character name in New World: Pappagiorgio

• What server/world did you experience your issue on: Orofena

• Describe the issue you are experiencing: I turned in the quest: “Ecological Report” to Gaspar Machera in Reekwater. He did not give me the following quest “To Be A Grandmaster”. I proceeded to get my fishing to 101 in hopes of Gaspar giving it to me. Sadly, he has not.

• Is this a bug? I would assume so. I tried to go back in the questline chain in reverse order ad all the NPCs just talk about Hotspots.(If this is an exploit, please follow the steps here: [Dev Blog] How to Report Exploits - Updated)

• (if a bug) How did the issue affect your gameplay: Cant finish the questline and get a legendary fishing pole.

• (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: No

Am having this same issue but for but for “Soulwarden Rations” after turning in “Treasures of the Deep”.

There are lots of other people reporting this bug for different stages of the questline too.

yeah still bugged even did a bunch of testing to save others time no fishing npc will give u a quest and main questing seems to fix it

Thats it! You are correct Zombiejam. I went back and did the Windsward Main Quest Story line and it unlocked it. Thank you for the advice.
