[FIXED] Crash - The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access

Every time I launch New World the game will run, it ran for 2 hours yesterday, and then I will get this error, it seems to be happening faster and faster

my computer is fine having a 3080 and a 109000, the way that it says Virtual Address makes me wonder if it’s something to do with the servers again :L

anyway I would like to play the game please ;-;

Also I have checked all my network + firewall settings and everything’s fine, I played alpha and beta for hundreds of hours and have never encountered this problem before, I can’t play the game anymore I queue up for 5 hours just to be able to walk for 5 minutes then it crashes due to this error

Full Error code is simply:

0xC0000005

Update someone else I know on discord has just gotten the exact same bug

so I am very certain this is an amazon server side issue and not a personal one

Update my Partner has just started playing New World and they have encountered the same issue :joy:

internet specs are 1GBs download and around 600MBs upload, so I don’t think that should really be an issue, but it seems to be somehow

also nipping it in the bud before I get the normal reply of check integrity

I have checked integrity, I have even uninstalled and reinstalled, this is not a files issue

Still not fixed after a long time bug fixing

things that have been tried:
Changing DPI scaling
Port forwarding
Uninstalling anti virus
Uninstall and fresh reinstall
Changed all my settings in game
Updated with the new patch that just got released

At this point I am out of ideas, if anyone has any ideas on how to proceed please leave a comment and I’ll give it a shot

Update I am not sure if it is fixed, but I have managed to get it to last half an hour which is a sizable increase

I did this by making an IPv6 pinhole for New World

if the crashes persist I will update you guys, if I can play for a couple hours over the next couple days I’ll mark this as the solution

Fixed, that IPv6 Pinhole worked somehow :0

Could guide me how to make “pinholes”?

I just went to my router settings online, and found the option, I honestly had never even heard it mentioned before, I’d recommend googling it with your current provider

Update, it’s still working fine, but if I turn on voice chat, it crashes xD good thing I’ve kept that off since day 1!
