Hi this weekend I was messing arround with flourish and finish on the rapier… It is really satisfieing when it hits but I think it is way to hard to hit the finish.
I dont mind that u need to aim it… I love a skillcap component like when ice spike was good. But even if u aim it, the hitbox is so small thay u can still easily miss.
Bare in mind it takes a tondo or 2 to set it up… and u have bb combo, ga combo that can do more dmg instantly without a skill component to name a few.
This is the reason almost nobody plays this in PvP… which made it so fun cause nobody saw it coming the few times it hit
the fact that nobody comments and i found a similar topic that auto closed with no reaction proves my point. Nobody uses this cause it sucks so nobody cares
Honestly I love Flourish and Finish and I started using it a few months ago but I stopped using it because I only hit it like 20% of the time, if that. It’s extremely hard to hit especially if the person is moving. That ability could be such an amazing ability to use for combos but it just needs to be easier to land. I’ve been meaning to make a post about this but kept forgetting to.
@ArcadiaMorellis I’m not sure anything in this tree needs a rework, but if flourish and finish was easier to land, it would be a major improvement.
Yup only way to land is when they stand still or u happen to move forward 100% aligned in the same direction. Small offset and u just go passed the target. It has no tracking and very small hitbox as well
Flourish and Finish needs some love. This is one of those useless skills that none use. I tried it myself, and it was kinda satisafying to land it, but … cooldown is long, animation is long, hard to hit, hits even if landed aren’t really so strrong… that push back of all oponents is also some joke
I will say that I do think the damage is really nice when you do hit. Sometimes with 1 stack of tondo I still deal a good amount of damage to light armor users. 3 stacks tho will do quite a bit. I honestly would have to play around with it more to have a solid opinion but here’s a video of me dealing quite a bit of damage with it.
The first time was one stack of tondo, the second time was no stacks. 3 stacks tho he would be dead for sure. Pretty sure Ollie runs 5 con also, so I’d have to test on someone with more con.
Exscuse me, but did we talked about stacking damage or pure damage of the skill? I was thinking about the second thing. I thought it was obvious. None even mention adding any tondo to it. That’s a totally different story.
