Foes regain full health as soon as they run away - what?!?

This is so incredibly stupid that it’s immersion breaking/obnoxious. It happened to me today and it drove me to immediately “X” out of the game and start cursing at my monitor in disbelief.

As soon as I find some spot like high ground, so that I can shot at an enemy safely, they run away and suddenly heal fully. The running away part makes some sense, the instant full health, makes absolutely ZERO sense whatsoever.

This is so frustratingly stupid, I think I will have to return the game for a refund.

This is one of those flaws that highlights how incredibly basic/stupid/pathetic the NPC AI is. I would have been disappointed in AI enemies behaving this badly over ten years ago, but now, it’s simply inexcusable. It’s so bad/basic, that it feels like being served a stale McDonald’s burger at a $50 fine dining restaurant.
