When it comes to OPR those stunlock builds really arent that good. But roots become 20x more valuable in OPR.
Yeah I just do it for ruby. It’s just grav well and ice shower fest.
Sometimes I can get out, sometimes I can’t using the same skills, evade or skewer jump.
Getting the jump on someone with a single target cc ( not AoE) to which STR users appear to be immune, and they just chuck grav well and maelstrom (both AoE) to kill me is just bad and lazy design.

Not one shotting. It involves the generic GA rotation and takes 2-3 seconds after grav well.
I realise you think GA players are just better players, no idea what you think your screenshots ‘proved’.

If you have one piece of freedom you have around a .2 second window to dodge the entire grav well nuke. That’s why freedom is BIS. Stacking it will completely negate Grav Well. Let’s say you have 4 out of 5, that’s 20% CC reduction you have I’d say around a .35 second window to dodge and completely negate this entire combo that you all dread.
Let’s add in entomb, evade, all the dash abilities, WH stun, WH Knockdown, spear sweep, Shield Bash and berserk. ALL counter this unstoppable combo you guys claim to be OP.
Let’s add the entire full second you have to react as well.
In order for a GWell to pop on someone they need to have 0 freedom perks, none of the CC abilities above, and none of the defensive abilities mentioned let alone dodge the 1 second wind up it takes to throw it.
At this point, are you really PvPing?

Roots are just extremely powerful for solo and group play. not GA, or IG as weapons.

if they don’t land their roots, they normally don’t know what rotations to do after that point, so they either run or left click spam in exchange.

I play rapier fire staff but in opr im forced to swap my rapier for my IG because of how hard it is to hit with rapier, it has such a short reach…
And yes ice shower is crazy op in pvp so whay would i guimp myself?! I joined the IG trainfor pvp only.
I even have 2 gear peaces with IG perks to replace for my rapier perk gear.
