For people thinking FS is OP

It’s not good because unless your being a stat padding turret mage you only get the one skill from it. Nobody is standing still in that ring for a real fight.

I’ll take this passive setup over Helios any day.

It was already like this before season 1 this change isn’t that different at all. Meteor perk before season 1 refreshed as you got your empower stacks and it lasted 10 seconds.

Now meteor doesn’t refresh the empower stacks and last 6 seconds. Each hit will give the empower and the timer starts for each empower stack.

I don’t see at all how this is what’s making fire staff OP. There are other things that have buffed the fire staff way more. You’re losing so much damage going with meteor perk on the staff with keenly empowered.

Brother you know now the 10% fortification on smolder target does nothing for a light player if you’re versing someone with Invig and any good pvper currently has an invig ring even in medium it’s not viable enough. You’re trading off that for 20% extra damage for 7 seconds with only downtime of 23 seconds which always procs at the start of a fight.

If you are standing in runes of helios for 7 seconds during pvp, you aren’t worth discussing pvp with. It doesn’t always proc at the start of a fight since burnout procs it you might have wasted it just for mobility.

You’re telling me you can’t get a single combo off with fireball and pillar? I can’t change your mind and I’m trying to get convinced by your argument but it’s still just false for me so I’m gonna stop.

@PijanyMnich is musket player that is sad he cant farm ppl any more as before so he is spamming all mage related topics making up numbers and facts.

I still wait for his clip to prove mage can 2 shot anyone on arena.

When you are fighting a skilled player (or as is common for me fighting 1+ while getting ranged by 3 others) you don’t get to cast 2 spells from one spot, you gotta be moving with FS especially if you are against melee or another mage whos trying to pillar you.

This is one off - more examples somewhere above.

also waiting for your screenshot with BIS EQ 200 con where you get 2/3 taped by musket
also I provided example above that you can squeeze at least 5,3k hit on NO resist player, 5 con players have around 7k hp - do math

also since musket was deleted I am FS MAIN now xD you know that you dont have to blindly support “your weapon”. I can play it and still claim its OP overall

You can tell by your stats you are hiding behind your clump padding with AOE. Not exactly proving anything here.

They are like those socialist kids on internet that will argue with you (on their iphones) for hours that socialism works.
But when you ask them for one evidence of country where it worked (and not ended with massive famine) they either go silent or will do anything to not answer. Almost 100 post here, not one argument it was not buffed :smiley:

“fortify reduction affects everyone”, everyone got damage nerf while fs got buff(s) especially when you consider low cd aoe impact abilities with 5x keenly jagged proc which cannot be mitigated by ele aversion.

and apparantly the guy talking about how ‘bad’ meteor shower is, has no clue how meteor shower works.

I understand your point, but you’re not taking into account two critical details:

1. Everyone takes more damage now because of changes to fortification. So everyone’s damage across the board has been buffed substantially. When you couple that with the changes to FS, it becomes a very oppressive force, especially when there are multiple of them hitting the same target. Which brings me to the next point.

2. Class composition imbalance amplifies its power. This is mostly just the case for OPR, but OPR is basically a core part of PvP accessibility in New World. Wars are more balanced because of forced compositions but are far less accessible to the average player and are usually not a daily occurrence for most who are in companies that own territory. So, now in OPR you have a massive over representation of FS and Bows, so much so that everyone is just constantly taking high pressure damage, there is no counterplay except to just have more FS and Bows than the other team. And because of this you have a lot of classes that simply can’t play the game in any kind of meaningful or enjoyable sense. The typical OPR game usually begins with one team getting to Sun first. The team that gets in first, can’t push out or leave because the pressure from ranged just overwhelms you as soon as you show your face. You need to be lucky enough to have some tanky individuals that can and will push out and enough healers to sustain everyone. Same goes for the team that is on the outside trying to get in. Since this is rarely the case now, you just have a bunch of ranged characters stat-padding on each other. The outside can’t push in because they will get deleted instantly and the inside cant push out because of precisely the same reason.

TLDR: Because of the buffs to FS, combined with the changes to fortification, and lack of balanced team composition in OPR, FS is extremely powerful and almost certainly overtuned in some areas. The only way it can remain the way it is, is if the number of them you have in an OPR is limited. Same goes for Bow (Bow is probably even more unbalanced than FS now in terms of burst potential).

If you used a runeglass you could stack 30% emp with the first tick of MS pre patch.
Oh and meteor shower could be stacked multiple times on the same person.

But no1 knew this cause they were to busy saying its bad.

plz explain to me how it got damage increase across the board in the patch notes?

tanks get to hit for more and stay alive forever and stagger everyone to death plus lag. And then cry that they can’t get more damage out and tank more, when they hit for way more.

dunno about that, cant say tanks deal more damage than a dps, now they are in a healty place
