Forced pvp Servers // Why not?

I repeat that I don’t care what the people in the forums think, I put it so you can see that many people are waiting for this, and it didn’t influence anyone who doesn’t want forced pvp, what is the problem that everyone can play what they desire, all alredy have server pve.

Why the people love pvp like me cant have a pvp server? What the rest of the pve lovers lose? They will continue with same things

Amazon has already stated that doing what you are suggesting will divide development and support resources. I don’t PvP at all and never want to, but I also have no problems with PvPers having their own servers, as well as staying on the current ones.

However, dividing support resources WILL effect everyone when it comes to fixing bugs and adding new stuff. It will definitely take longer to do so.

I’m glad you think pvp players would want to have a pvp server.

On the other hand, I don’t think the support resources will be divided, because they would only have to make a few small changes, which are insignificant, in fact the first one I don’t think will take more than a couple of minutes, which would be that at the time of
Going out into the open world would automatically switch to pvp on, which I don’t think would take more than two minutes to do.

PvP players that were asking full pvp is the ones as soon as they are getting camped quitting it,this game was full pvp and as soon as a group camping others made server die, stop being so delusional already. There is a reason open world PvP is dead in this game, people are dying then they are turning their flag for a reason, now imagine what will happen in that server, they will quit.

All pvp players want to pvp server and when they move to same server they always walk in group. You have opr/arena issues since noone is quing if not full group. You have weak econocomy since pvp player do not farm. And so on.

Pvp players ask for pvp but they dont want to play it unless they win it. I love pvp in this game but screw pvp players stupid ideas. Almost all of them never think about other aspects of game.

Open world pvp is not dead. Just very limited. And issue is you dont get much from it. To make good mass open world pvp you need a reason and place for players to show up - look pvp reward farm in GC before they fixed faction misssions.

If devs can use forts to give players reason to fight for them, you will see mass pvp on open world. By reason i mean something like: you take it, you lock it for 1-2h and it does generate influence for you.

Great Cleave is was a perfect example of why PvP server wont last long enough,a faction which had numbers was dominating it,there is no skill. 20 musket camping people in rocks.
Now Imagine there is a full pvp server,a guild which is strong enough gonna roll others → people end up quitting → server dies.

What about more pvp modes? Even better if cross servers?
With pvp server you are just locked there with the same players, while having some fun and instanced content will allow to play with everybody

GC pvp showed there is an issue with mass pvp. And imho issue is not that faction with bigger number of players will win. Issue is faction with lower number but more skilled players can’t win.

In general issue with open world pvp is cost. It cost close to nothing to die and it does not matter how often you die. To fix it they have to increase repair costs of each next death in given hour or even day.

With that in place you can go open worl pvp vs bigger numbers if you can outplay them, you will win.

@Luxendra do devs know about this issue when it comes to open world pvp? That bigger numbers always wins couse repair costs are super low no matter how many times you died?

All it takes is one company of 50 people to camp overseer zane to get 20% to log off and never want to go back on again

First, I don’t care what you think, since you arent pvp lovers and have nothing to contribute here.
Second, there was never any full pvp in this game, for this reason only 15k people continued playing it since its release and the game was about to die.
For this same reason people changed factions, since we are still talking about pve players

We pvp lovers don’t mind dying 70 times for a person, group or guild of 50 as you say.
We pvp lovers like the risk and danger of doing things, we don’t need put any debuf when somebody kills us, this is what pve lovers request and need but not we.

It makes me laugh that you think that pvp servers will die instantly when you are playing a pvp game, what do you think that the owners of the territories in which you currently play will not move to a server where you can really enjoy constant pvp wherever you go?

Pvp servers are what give life to any game if that’s what you like, as I said on several occasions it seems perfect to me that you want your pve server since you don’t like pvp, but stop poking your nose and fucking to the rest of the people because you don’t like “x” thing.

The WOW itself was force pvp during its first 3 expansions, which coincidentally was where more people played this game, you literally pay to play monthly and all can kill you on any moment with 1, 2 or 50 people.

If you don’t like it, please stop crying, let everyone enjoy what they like, because you don’t like “x” thing, no one gives you the right to deny anyone that freedom to enjoy it.

What are you telling me that if you like pop music, the rest of the music classical, rap, hardcore, techno, dubsted… they should remove it because according to your tastes nobody is going to listen to it?

keep your copium, this game was full pvp at the start and they had to remove it since they seen what happend.
If you dont know about it dont talk about it,simple.

I played this game since beta, I know exactly what happened, like I said 15,000 people ended up playing it due to lack of pvp.

15k no more

Why do you think they put the battles without having to have a guild?
Why do you think they have implemented 3vs3 arenas?
Why do you think they give rewards for doing pvp?
Why do you think they give pvp points in the open world?

If you have no idea do not speak and as I repeat you have not voice or vote if you do not like pvp.

I am not trying to shut down your beloved pve server but you are trying to prevent pvp lovers from having it.

If they launched a brand new server with pvp only in mind I would be curious to see how long that would last but i dont see a reason why not just give the baby the bottle, the milk may be sour and the baby will probably be quick to toss it away. but I’m sure there are a few that would stay just to spite it. It will most likely divulge into entire companies camping major points of interests like chest runs expedition locations in an effort to control gear supremacy. It would be an nice change to see a more divergant trend of posts on the forums than the usual make this weapon weaker common post and shift to more balanced content like well we like pvp but we want temporary invulnerability because people are camping teleportation zones and making camp barricades around POI’s. people are baracading camp sites with camp sites, this pvp only was a bad idea and I want to switch servers but its locked. Groups are camping fishing spots please help. So on and so forth. Not gonna lie, it would be pretty funny.

There are definitely a number of mechanics that could be done better with pvp missions that make them more pvpve functionality and would be enhanced if they were pvp only accessible like assassinating the enemy faction commander or faction rep to hinder or push territory control and protecting the vip is a an old game type but its better than what we have now. Especially when the best way to gain territory is to first stand in a circle for ten minutes. The idea to stick with that six months after launch was just bad and being given no indication that it was being directly worked on towards a particular direction? Thats how you lose players because of implied lack of intent.

To summerize, if you want more players to flag themselves, you have to make it entertaining first and foremost. New worlds doenst have that yet. And thats why a pvp only servers is destined to fail.

man I dont want to give youu attention but u are so delusional and keep posting stuff, this game is PvX its not a pure pvp.
Game simple doesnt work on full pvp because of the game design.

I think you must have had a very cruel experience to think that way but well, as I said on several occasions, pve players will never understand how we pvp lovers think.

Do you think we do not farm, we do not do dungeons, we are only and exclusively going to get together to kill you or I don’t know, YES, killing you will be a part of that pvp, i like this, what is the problem? If you don’t like it don’t come to a pvp server.

From what I see Albion online is not going bad, don’t you think that?
Or wait does it have forced pvp? WOOW I didn’t think having forced pvp could bring so many people together in the same game… (WOW, L2, Albion…), wait but there have dungeons and it’s in the open world, with pks? NOOOOOO this cannot be possible, it is impossible to think this.

Wait, you’re telling me that people lose all their gear if they die and they still go dungeoning? What kind of black magic is this for God’s sake. :scream: :scream:

Get out of this post, nobody asked you anything about your opinion pve player

ahah, deluusional mad player calm down, also let me know your server so we can see which one of us pver

Here’s my take as a PvP lover…

Having an always on PvP mode would not work in New World with the way it’s designed and I don’t think it should be done.

The game is designed to have PvP. Should a PvP server exist and the majority of the PvPers transfer to it, then the other servers will suffer to an extent as there won’t be enough PvPers to fill OPR, arenas or War rosters.

Additionally if everyone is flagged constantly then players wouldn’t be able to do group content with other factions, excluding 66% of the server (ish) which would make group content much more difficult to do.

1v1 duels would be problematic as they would constantly get interrupted. Gathering could become arduous to impossible limiting the ability to craft.

It should also be noted that if a ton of players want always on PvP they can represent this by always being flagged in open world as the game is now. There’s good benefits to doing so in loot and gathering luck. Even so, we don’t see a lot of players rolling around flagged everywhere so it’s hard to believe that a large percent of the player base ACTUALLY want this as much as some would have us believe.

A PvP server would decide the player base and add variables to development deciding development too. In my opinion, It would hurt the game.

Ive had to have read your response twice because of the requirement to extrapolate information due to incomplete thoughts but i get where your coming from now. But i may have a few things understandably not congruent with your response because of that. However. While I do think that some game mechanics should be taken into consideration from other games and implimented into new world. I dont think that albion online is a great example of that. If we really want to go down that road, a better choice of prioritization of copy templates might actually be gta due to its competitve nature. To give players an objective in the open world not necessarily dependant on pvp but the pvp hazard is very much a function of the game. And while the game can be played in passive mode. A players ability to use weapons to defend themselves from the world is very much a risk. The only real way to play gta is to flag yourself as a killable person. You cant even play many of the missions without flagging yourself.
But as far as loss of loot goes upon death. Im indifferent on that factor. But i have no doubt that pvp players farm expeditions. How else do they get best in slot in a game that has had done crafting so dirty
