Forcing Minimaps off is like Fortnite telling everyone they were not making a BR

As many of you know, Fortnite was never supposed to be a BR. The game was supposed to be cooperative against AI. They created the BR to test the engine and found out people liked it. They then gave the people what they wanted and the rest is history.

Players want a Minimap. Why on earth would you take it away?

The same can be said for most of the game. I like it and want to see it succeed, but every time I manage to find a workaround for your clunky engine, bugs, or design that feels like an alien ai with no concept of fun made it you take it away.

Are you just trying to make things as painful as possible to force people to quit?

The back breaker for me with AGS has been that they treat players like employees (indentured at that), not like people who can walk at any moment. You kill the fun, and people will leave.

Hope you are learning that lesson right now.

I got nothing of value to add with exception to the Fortnite BR thing.
They did NOT create battle royale at all. They stole the concept from a paying client and then fully exploited it by marketing it to children. The cooperative Fortnite was pretty fun, until this all completely ruined it and they smelled easy cash.
Using the exploited cash for aggressive marketing to make less things available. Epic for the win.

You still have a minimap. Static information was never intended to be there in the first place.
