Finally a patch where light armor provides almost no damage reduction, makes way more sense.
Light meele shouldn’t be a thing for opr, except for assassins, medium and heavy armor should have more mitigation against ranged weapons, that’s where meele should be.
Idk how players thinks they can charge through arrows, bullets, fire and ice in light armor and still thinks they should be the predators here.
People just don’t want to go back to the slower play style when they had all the fun with light rolls. But unless you’re playing a berserk kamikaze style and understand you will die a lot don’t go light meele.

Ofc change is very good. Issue is it did lower time to kill that was already very low. But this can be fixed multiple ways.
Imho first devs should look into fortify perks on all weapons and probably increase values there. Right now most of them are not worht much and some works as debuff on light armor users vs enemy isning invi punishment - means everyone playing pvp.
all melee complain about the damage they take. Melee must be able to be more resistant than Ranged, that’s obvious. melee weapons have defensive liabilities. with the nerf to fortify, melee weapons no longer really offer resistance.
At this point I think it is easier to just add easy ways to get fortify on weapons they think should be tankier than other ones. Like I think str weapons could use more fortify, but something like rapier doesn’t need to be tankier. Certain melee weapons should be stand and deliver vs quicker/mobile weapons. Stand and deliver weapons need higher armor
