Are requests for a new opr map (which is one of the biggest request in the forum) the same as a new instanced pvp “mode”. No of course not.
Didn’t say that. I agree with you in that it’s a new mode in the literal sense. A new map, no, is not a new mode.
But most people would not consider changes to influence pushes a new type of game mode.
Cause they are not considering the development time required to change the system and the potential benefit it may have for replayable open world pvp content. Sure it’s not a pretty new map you can wrap up in a package, but it potential has far more replayability if they can get it right.
I agree, I’m going to give it a fair shot. I just feel like it’s not what most people want.

Still disagree that it’s a new mode. It is the same thing that exists already but slightly tweaked. You keep arguing this but will not sway me so let’s just agree to disagree and move on. What I will say is a new mode isn’t 100% necessary if the correct changes were made to existing modes. I of course already stated my issues with the changes they are planning to the existing fort/influence game though. They don’t benefit enough people and are time gated/limited.
At least if the OPR mode was reworked it would benefit a significant portion of the PVP players instead of just the small % that are involved in wars. Plus, OPR can be done any time you want. It’s not time gated/limited like territory and wars.
My idea for forts would also help factions feel real in this game. As they stand now I don’t even understand why they exist at all and aren’t just deleted from the game and replaced with company vs company.

Theyve been “reworking influence” for over a year now without one line of actual change.
they also nuked the one decent w pvp activity that ppl actually enjoyed engaging in.
does anyone actually believe ags’ redesign will somehow be good?
they need actual world pvpers to help them design and give feedback and safe to say that’s one of the biggest players groups that quit and gave up on ags long ago.

Yeah Im not digging through a milllion “Your feedback has been passed to the devs” posts to find it, but yes, they definitely mentioned reworking influence multiple times without ever actually doing anything over the last year.
The first I heard about them reworking to this multiple capture point mode was within the last few months.
I use the solution functionality to pin the post and make sure to add that as a note at the end. Not as an actual solution.
They let entire companies transfer off a server before they merge the same server they left into the server they joined, silly!
You know it’s going to be stand in a circle capture point.
Cause that’s the only way they know how to make melee builds relevant. Pretty sad, IMO.

The most damaging thing AGS can do to their game is keep giving out free trials.
9/10 players who give NW a try quit in 2 weeks in all honesty, this game can’t retain players for sh!t.
