Have they mentioned any changes to the engine or additional sliders for us to configure over the last few months.
I’ve not noticed anything in the patch notes on this subject at all.

I heard they’re only switching to Unreal 4 for their new FPS game. They are still using the same inhouse engine for New World. I gave in, lowered almost everything to Low settings except for Texture. On a Geforce RTX 3080… can you believe it. AMD 5800x. 32gb, M2 Internal SSD… My monitor is 4k, 32 in, 144hz. Most many other games go very close to 144fps… 110 to 140.
I don’t know exactly how, but World of Tanks had an overhaul a few years back where they made everything in the game HD quality, added new textures and here’s the kicker, the FPS was increased because of it…
I don’t know what those guys did, but they made the old game look like a new gen game with a simple update and it improved the game performance at the same time, crazy
They’ve either improved their inhouse engine or converted to a different engine. That’s a huge undertaking… just think about building a new engine, and then replacing the engine in your car by yourself.
And that’s why Amazon still hasn’t made much progress in graphics performance. They literally have to scrap a lot of things, depending on how modular their current engine is…
This gives a useless graphics engine instead of something nice like unreal 4 or 5.
If there not able or willing to dedicate the resources to it. Having an open cfg file would be a good start. Theres probably lots of leftover variables from the cryengine wiki we could prpbably play around with.
