FPS Drop Weapon swap

Everytime I swap weapons I get a FPS drop of 2 to 3 fps. If I spam the key I can tank my fps untill I reach about 10 or so.

Please make sure to add the DxDiag and Gamelogs through a sharing link from a Cloud Storage like Google Drive to the support report, you can pull it following this steps:

DxDiag report:

• Go to Windows Start search bar and type dxdiag.
• Click on dxdiag.exe.
• When green progress bar goes away, select Save All Information and save the file to their desktop.

GameLogs:

• Game logs can be found on: \Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\CrashDB\reports\

You have to restart the game, and it will fix it temporarily. This post belongs in the bug forum because it’s an issue with the game. There’s already a lot of forum posts on it. Here’s one with a response from a community moderator:

I don’t know if this a common issue, but i just experienced a wierd bug that consisted in a HUGE fps drop whenever i swaped weapons, did everyone experienced this as well? it started in the last update and it was the first time for me.

Please be aware that FPS dropping with weapon swap is a new bug that was introduced in the Brimstone patch. Please know this, so when you respond to further inquiries about this issue, you can move the post to the bug forum, and inform the poster that it’s a known issue. Thanks.

Indeed restarting does get rid of the bug. However, I will have to count the amount of arena/Dungeons I csn Do before it happen again.

I am sorry to hear you are having issues with Lag after weapon swapping. I have reviewed all the data you have provided and thank you for the information. Due to the type of issue you mention and how it does not match the expected behavior, this thread would be better addressed in the Bug Reports section
