FPS to the ground in OPR!

You can check what happens on the videos, also this issue resolves after restarting the game.

New World FPS to the ground! - 2 - YouTube please look at 22nd second.

New World FPS to the ground! - 3 - YouTube Also grit not working for Maelstrom in this video; 2nd attack didn’t work.

Interesting thing is that I have a high-end gaming computer with a decent cooling; AMD Ryzen 9 5900X with RX 6800 XT, also 32GB 3600MHZ CL14 G.Skill B-Die RAMS(Best DDR4 memory!) and game working on Samsung 980 Pro 2TB M2.

AGS, please don’t tell me to check these contents; I already did!

still any solution without restarting the game?

Hello @Gloatover,

I am sorry to hear you are having issues with frame drops but can see you were previously instructed to contact support for direct assistance on this topic. Please proceed as indicated in order to have your case reviewed.

In the mean time, you can try out some of these things as possible solutions:

  1. Ensure your video drivers are up to date.
  2. Set Windows power settings to High Performance.
  • Press Windows + R, type “powercfg.cpl” into the Run window, and then press Enter.
  • Select the radio button next to the High performance power plan. You may need to click Show additional plans first.
  1. Adjust your in-game video settings. (sometimes just changing them back and forth will reset the issue)
  2. Clean boot Windows by following these instructions:
How to perform a clean boot in Windows (to reduce startup applications/Check for Malware).
  3. Reset your video driver software to the default settings.
  4. Check for evidence of overheating.
  5. Please verify the integrity of game with the Steam integrity check
How To run a Steam Integrity Check

I hope this helps and if not, do not hesitate reaching out to live support.

See you in Aeternum! :wolf:

I already did all but didn’t resolve it. The only solution is restarting the game to resolve it…

There is no solution to the FPS drop on death screen except reboting the game. My GPU is going wild everytime this happens.

Bump
Instead of getting better performace, this update with so many QOL fixes actually reduced FPS and stutters everywhere. OPR and Open World

Something needs to be optimized hopefully they find it soon.

Good to see this post was ignored and there is no fix

Hello and welcome to the forums @NOL055,

I am sorry to hear you may be experiencing an issue similar to the one noted on this thread. Please note the thread was never ignored but several troubleshooting steps were provided along with the possible continuation where, If those do not work for you, then you may proceed with what was mentioned in my last post and create a support ticket for further review.

Good luck and see you in Aeternum! :wolf:

patch after patch this is becoming worse and quite absurd. Its is as if the game code becomes alive and deteriorates with time passing by. The more you play this game the worst it gets.

Maybe for you … I had problems in bigger thats right OPR fights I bought another 8gb RAm now is gucci.

Please optimize the game!

At least Add “Exclusive Fullscreen”, change to a better game Engine, whatever… just like Rust did.

AMD Ryzen 9 7900X loading with best DDR5 memories, I’ll record new videos about the issue on my new hardware too
