Nice to see I’m not the only one leveling without a faction, although mine is just an alt. She’s 25 and rising fast.
Nobody is taxed based on faction.
You are taxed everywhere. Crafting, when you buy a house, and also the market.

none of those actions are tied to being in a faction. Everyone gets taxed equally in town, same faction, opposing factions, non-faction.
It’s amazing what putting your settlement points into crafting fee % and housing tax % will do to help. My crafting fees are at 40% crafting and 38% housing.

As far as I’m concerned, they don’t need to. I’m very much enjoying the process of remaining factionless off my own wits. The game doesn’t need to make it easy for me. That means giving up the main quest, but that’s just it. It means living without an Azoth staff. It means finding alternate methods of getting Azoth. It means finding other ways to live in the world besides doing quests. I like the challenge. The means is more fun than the end.
I say give the factionless the ability to flag pvp and to be able to gank any faction… and any faction able to gank them… the true mercs can pvp and do invasions… but blocked from the actual wars… but still able to pvp any faction they catch outside

@Sue_D_Nim thos isn’t about azoth I almost never run out of it since I don’t port around a lot it’s about being able to pve closing portals or defending the very towns you spend a lot of your time trying to build up. Both are PVE both don’t have anything to do with factions and both should be available to Factionless.

I would love to be factionless and have wars pull from mercenary companies instead of cross factions, it’d make the game so much more interesting.
That’s just it. Azoth isn’t the point it was an example. I enjoy the challenge of living in the world without coloring inside the lines. They don’t have to accommodate me. It’s the challenge of it that I like. It’s also the fun of being a rebel by not doing what some NPC told me to do.
Well there is no problem getting quests, im still doing quests and i’ve been doing them a lot! There is just small cap between 12-25lvl without any sidequests. And i’ve only encountered one sidequests that i cannot complete because i dont have lvl 1 staff, i dont really use azoth for fast-travelling as i walk mostly.

@Qbeck I completely understand what they are trying to accomplish in the game but it’s also supposed to be a sandbox game that allows for choices. Again to me Factionless is not a faction. They don’t own settlements they don’t have companies they have no organization. They are wanderers, hermits, people who just don’t want to deal with toxic company or faction chats, they much like me want to roleplay or craft or just be a general pve player who wishes to enjoy this world. I also point out that factions were meant for the pvp aspect and there are LOTS of people that are just enjoying this game to do the above mentioned. All I am asking is for full pve access because it doesn’t influence, change, alter, affect anyone if they have an azoth staff or sign up for invasions(again I say sign up not even participate because the owning faction/company may not choose them BUT they can still sign up to fight the corruption. AGS please hear what I am saying and you will find a player base that will be a whole lot more devoted to this game.
