has nothing to do with investing in bigger servers, its the game literally isn’t able to support 2500 people at the tutorial beach.
You are quitting because of launch day queues. This is normal for any MMO. Its the same cycle on every MMO launch. People struggle with the reality that you either need to log in immediately with the no lifers / people who take off work or wait until the queue dies down a little.
Planning to play on a specific server ahead of time without knowing how long queues will be. In fairness, it sounds like AGS aren’t the only ones who didn’t learn from their mistakes
I’m coordinating with a few people and seem to have found a server just fine, all we had to do was coordinate a time and then look at the best server to start on. Bit of a queue but in within about half an hour.
You know they put them all on their own server to stop mass Qs into their server right? After all the backlash last time about streamer servers. Also they gave streamers keys for their viewers. Was probably the best way to filter their large communities into one place and away from the public. Did you have a better idea?
The people who are playing where up and waiting for the servers to go live and refreshing them till they could go in, like I did when the new zone launched.
get that not everyone can but this is the norm for MMO launches.
Not even prime-time yet on US East and all but 1 FSS locked and they want me to wait in a 2K+ que…not. I called this last night in discord, that with so few FSS planned, it is like AGS is only expecting 15k players to try them, gunna be a clusterpuck.
But they aren’t… They have only added 1 since 2pm Eastern US. And its immedately flooded and then population locked, like 90% (the remaining 10% have 700+ queues).
Idk man. EU seems to stabilize now. Maybe they wanna wait a day.
NA has some now with not too big queues (20m?)
So maybe they still wait. But yea, still inexcusable lol
Fresh Start only meant everyone starts at level 1, an uncorrupted economy, and no territory holds.
Queues were inevitable. You would think after a year they’d at least have a backup plan. Nope, once again its in the form of more servers to again be merged later. But I mean come on, FSS preachers were acting like this wasn’t going to happen. It was destiny.
More than likely it will be queue wars for a week or two, then solidify for the next few weeks, then part 2 of the chaos.
This is what Discord is for. We did it with 20+ and worked wonders. If you think that rushing onto the first opened server will let you play with friends login in several hours later, maybe it’s you that is not seeing the forrest through the trees.
