Sure, but as we all know from the way the initial launch worked, the game can’t handle the full capped load in the starting areas, so the cap is effectively lower than the full cap until people start spreading out of the starter areas.
None of this is new. It all happened with the initial launch.
They should add an in-game warning like they did once on PTR telling the people to leave the beaches. Ok people are leveling so it could just be something like “Please don’t take too long at the beach” anything that could speed up the queues would be welcome
I think for EU and US East, adding an extra server or two would have been a good idea, especially for EU, with that large queue of 10K+. It will probably level out a bit though.
This 100 percent. I quit playing shortly after launch because of the poor handling of server ques and transfers. The lack of foresight when they have already done this exact thing is alarming.
Are you all not surprised really? If you believe the queue / server mitigation was going to be amazing then I am sorry to burst your bubble. These Queues were bound to happen anyone the game simply cannot handle X amount of players within an area that is a lot of information that is being processed.
Just makes it really hard to play with a group. Some of us got in but obviously some one be able to log in until later, and the server halts creation within 30 mins of the server opening.
You are right, but we can still be unhappy about it. I think they should have more starting zones, the map is big enough, have 4 instead of 2, that theoretically would half the Q times.
So the queues would be half as large. Better, but people would still complain. Tell that to the queues that are in the thousands. Sharding or instancing is the actual answer that you are looking for, but they can’t.
So I am unsure why you think attacking me is the way to go. I never said any of the relaunch debacle was a bug. It is exactly launch day a year ago. Instead of learning from the past AGS decided to do very little and allowed for these massive queues while misleading many players they would be mitigated.
