Will You guys be polling the playerbase to figure out the demand for fresh start servers?
Concerned about them being forever, would love to play with all the new frens! and not isolate and fragment the communities. I imagine the FAQ might address what the plans for how fresh start servers will interact with future cross server queues? I am assuming they would be in their own separate queue system from legacy servers?
If it’s not defined as they open, I imagine 6 months will just become forever as people will complain at the 6 month mark to prevent them from opening up. I am always worried what this will do to the community in the long-term is all. The psychological impact. The fresh server (returning player) vs. legacy players (existing player) divide is pretty steep and this was before they were even officially announced! We already have PVE and PVP players complaining about each other. It’s not possible to completely prevent divides in the community, but I think the decisions at your level @Kay can really impact how much of a divide there is? The world naturally wants to divide these days anyways.

What if legacy servers will start missing players ? Due to lack of newcomers? We will be sentenced to play on dead servers because you will not merge legacy with FFSs? 6 months lock is good, but thinking about locking servers from transfer permanently should not be an option.

It should definitely not come out after Brimstone. I think that diction was a very costly mistake.
Many current players are planning to start over in the fresh servers because their friends will buy and play the game once the fresh servers are out. This will lead to a massive number of people trying to login and play.
My question is are you prepared to take in that many people? Or will we have massive queues again that will cause our friends to drop the game?
You make it sound like AGS has ever fixed a bug or issue within two weeks of its occurrence 
If it was really to proof the launch they’d have given a lot longer till new servers were released.
The sad part is ppl will miss out on the Halloween update.
as if that would not happen anyhow. “They even postponed the FS for this mess” “Man even tho that was the only thing they had to do” this will happen guaranteed if anything is not how people expect it to be. Thats no excuse to tease people and lets them miss out on the release fun. Now we have to endure 2 weeks of streams, Videos and topics on teh Forums about BS without even being able to play it. Not to talk about the Halloween event.
For fresh servers, will the character/clan name base be shared with the old servers, or will it have its own unique/empty one?
I wont be sad that people choose to not participate in the Halloween event.
Its not much of a choice though. If you were waiting for fresh start well now have to make a character if you want to participate and you need to rush to level 60, not everyone has that time
I am curious about how they “teased” us. I am looking forward to FSS as much as everyone else. We asked for FSS, they are giving us what we want. And rather quickly. Not sure why you NEED it during a launch of BSS. Are you new to MMORPG’s? I will assume you are, and inform you that new things never happen this quickly in the genre. Stuff like this usually takes a long time.
Trust me, i agree. This is why i think they should wait until early december. Who knows, maybe in a few weeks we will get told FSS has been delayed.
Is the plan for these fresh start servers to be a one time (or at least rare) occasion? Or are all future servers that get opened from now going to be “fresh start”, leaving “legacy” players locked to the old servers?
If the old servers are getting left in the dust going forward, it’d be nice to know sooner than later so I don’t waste time investing in my current character.
@Shadow_Fox I just don’t want to see mega companies come in and ruin these servers as well. I would strongly suggest NO transfers in for 6 months or longer.
Will cross server instanced group play be available by february?? because fresh start servers will die down a few months after
Why not think of making at least one SEA server?

The new update isn’t just Brimstone. The new leveling experience comes with it, which impacts newly created characters. They probably waiting for people that doesn’t care about new servers to create characters in legacy serves and catch any bugs before they get pushed to fresh servers.

Big Companys will just make alts on Fresh starts and run 2 servers. transfers wont stop shit
