a friend of mine that we have been playing together since week one of launch of the game got permanently banned 3 days after the big recent duplication exploit, I am 100% that he didn’t duplicate anything and did nothing that can get him banned, the amount of hours he spent on the game is more than 1400 hours… he can’t post here in the forum because he is banned, he contacted the support for an appeal and he got an email saying “We reviewed the information you provided on appeal and have confirmed that the original disciplinary action was merited in your case.”
all he is asking for now is a check for the reason he got banned for, because we are 100% sure that there is something wrong and he got banned with some sort of error, please support help us and deep check for the reason behind the ban.

I feel bad for you man, the report system is ticket based so it takes them around 2 weeks to get back to you only for whatever intern did the work to screw it.
Good luck to your friend and maybe next year after an expansion they might accidentally unban all the bots and exploit players, cross your fingers!

I understand that your friend’s account has been banned from the game. Unfortunately, we are not able to handle situations regarding bans in the forums, and the only way for appealing one is the traditional ban appeal via email. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Can we maybe get you guys to issue an official statement on Customer Support? We have a thread live on Reddit about a guy who reported a bot and got a ban in return.
I understand they’re an outsource and you’re probably all contractually obligated to venerate them, but they’re actively harming the state of the game with their complete lack of care for the playerbase. They’ve been outed handling multiple games and they barely handle bots and straight up ban innocent players. The message this sends to players is not appropriate and it is not conducive to New World’s success.
“Please bring it up with them” is basically the last thing we want to hear.
