I’ve been practicing hitting things dead-on with the fire-staff’s fireball skill for the sake of the third attribute (“catch”) on the fireball tree…but I’m finding that the fireball sometimes goes straight through your target.
When it happened on skeletons I thought perhaps the centre of the fireball was passing between the ribs and the hit radius was too small, but I’ve also seen it pass through hogs hit dead on.
Now I’m thinking that maybe its collision is calculated in steps and they steps are too far between for the collision radius. In any case, it’s proving to be far more effective if you aim for the ground in front of your target, and that makes the attribute - and fireball itself - less attractive. -
Today I happened to have the camera positioned exactly right to catch an arrow from a skeleton archer fly close to my toon but miss. To my surprise, as the arrow got close to my toon, its flight (visible from the contrail it leaves) bent at maybe a 30 degree angle towards my toon. I haven’t seen this before - are arrows capable of homing? Or is it just certain enemy archers who can bend an arrow in flight?
