Dear New World Administrators,
I am writing this topic to express my concern about the proposed merge of the Sketh and Primordial servers. As a player of the game, I understand the desire to bring together communities and create a more cohesive player base. However, I believe that both the Sketh and Primordial servers are still in their early stages, having only opened a few weeks ago, and merging them at this time would not be in the best interests of their players.
Both the Sketh and Primordial servers are fresh start servers, and many players, myself included, chose them specifically because they offered the opportunity to start anew and build our in-game communities from the ground up. A merge at this time would fundamentally change the nature of both servers and undermine the appeal that drew us to them in the first place.
I understand that hard data and factual evidence can be important in making decisions such as this. However, as a player who has chosen to be a part of these fresh start servers, I would at least appreciate the opportunity to have a say in the matter and be given the option to choose whether or not I would like my server to be merged.
Instead of merging servers, I suggest that the administrators consider alternative options, such as offering server change tokens to players who wish to move between servers. This would allow players the opportunity to experience different servers without completely disrupting the balance and development of the fresh start servers.
I urge you to reconsider the merge of the Sketh and Primordial servers. I understand that these decisions are not made lightly, and I appreciate the effort that goes into managing and maintaining a game. However, I believe that both servers should be allowed to continue to grow and develop on their own, rather than being absorbed into another server at such an early stage.
