FSS should be reclassified as regular servers after 6-12 months

Fresh servers are mostly targeted towards new players and returning players that quit the game before reaching level 60.

For those players, the best way to get used to the game, is starting from scratch, because a lot of things changed since when they quit.

Fresh servers offer a common equal ground for everyone to play and level together ( i want to level up with lots of low level players rather than going around the world all alone up to level 60 and not get invited in dungeons or whatever because i dont have the gears of a old player)

This will not divide the existing community since its targeted for new and returning players.

Yes, there might be existing players that want to tey the new leveling experience or whatever, but not many are willing to give up 4k hours on their current character.

Fresh start servers will probably become legacy once the playerbase will have the same or close average gear score and economy to a legacy server.

They keep acting like they’re not going to lol. They’re all going to have sneaky link characters, cheating on their legacy characters lol.

Yeah. Seasons do incredibly well to bring in revenue.
Its the only reason Archeage is still around at all, or why PoE is able to pump out consistent content updates multiple times a year.
The race out the gate is what brings in a wave of players, jacks up view counts on Twitch / Youtube, drives a new community to the game, and increases the games popularity.
This dies off after a month or so and there is usually a lull before the next season.
If NW can keep that pace ( creating freshstarts with massive content updates / expansions), they will increase their profits from the box price and new cosmetic purchases exponentially.

A new player buying the game and their first costume is more valuable than an old one who alread has everything they want.

All servers will be “legacy” in a year and then FSS wont exist. AGS can do as they please with all the servers then.

Yes, there may be fewer new players joining legacy servers compared to FS servers. So?

They might do exactly that. Do “FSS” every year. And once population drops those might get merged together or allow transfers between each other. And there’s enough “legacy” servers to keep the game rolling for an entire year without worry.

They literally had to say they won’t EVER merge Legacy into FSS due to the bugs/exploits on those and giving a promise to the potentially new playerbase.
Which obviously matters more than those who stuck with the game 6months ago. These guys seem to be one of the most delusional, entitled and cringiest group of players we’ve seen uptodate lol.
Great you stayed and played the game, don’t expect much.

They won’t ever let servers die, no matter if legacy or FSS.
Not merging Legacy into FSS doesn’t mean transfers won’t get allowed in a year or two.
But there’s enough players to keep legacy alive for another 1-2years without any worry, even if population drops by half

Ppl only mad they can’t flex on new players with their nolife timesink
Cause you can’t flex gear you got via skill in NW, that’s for sure

Yep. AGS is saying what they must say now and will change to suit in the future.

Forum posters just don’t understand that.

If either of the sets of servers start to die, they will most definitely allow for transfers. They aren’t going to orphan characters.

you’re delusional if you think the players playing atm cant dominate fresh servers, those returning players doesnt have the same knowledge and effort as veterans,u can stop your bullshit.noone is crying about “flexing” i’m tired of this stupidity, people are simple worried if splitting community can hurt both servers or not.
Like I know a lot of hardcores who is going to dominate fresh servers since they know what to do and they will be playing as guild,so your whole copium means nothing.

Have you been worried about the community splitting when they opened like 7 new servers in the past 4weeks per region?

no because you can transfer if your server bleeds players, what are you trying to compare? are you seriously trying to compare a fresh server that has no transfer and servers which has transfers? are u really that intelligent person?

FSS will have their own transfers between their own servers.
The goal is to catch those players who would’ve not given the game another chance otherwise.
And yes, we all depend on those players. WAY more than on those who played 6months ago lol

You have enough servers for another year or two before you’d have to start worrying about legacy, and that only if the game actually goes down the shitter from nowon lol.

Your server won’t die. Legacy servers won’t die lol.
The vast majority of people who play atm will hop on FSS only for the pvp part, or to enjoy the earlygame again with a lot of people. Obviously sweats will go there aswell, since it’s fun.
Just like after release most competetive guilds hopped servers to find ppl to pvp with.
Lvling and gearing is just another “fun” challenge.

And even IF it would happen. That somehow within the next 12 months ALL legacy servers die and NW’s population drops to like 5k total active players.

Then they likely will take measures to secure a comfortable play on those remaining servers before shutting down the game, no matter what they promised at this moment since it won’t matter anyway.

i can’t wait to laugh at the whiny babies for FRESH START FRESH START WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

when already the playerbase took a nose dive after COD MW2 came out. No servers on US east are even close to the server cap, which is a good thing, but adding new servers is gonna be LOL

This is true. Many also won’t give the game a chance since over the next months games come out. Brimstone hype is already dead. And most people who were hyped to come are not anymore.
This game is fighting now to establish itself at any means. The streamer challenge is literally a last straw grip before the playerbase gets down again for the next year till next expac
They missed the hype, and I doubt FSS will be more players than the game 2weeks ago.
While if they launched FSS 4weeks ago with Brimstones we likely would’ve crossed over 200k actives

Most of my mates were ready to give this game another chance, but they just took too long. Now they probably won’t ever xD. Maybe next winter, supposing that then there’s nothing else to play

If sweats will go to fresh they will dominate it,they dont have to transfer their main. They are playing as a guild, they know what to do and they can do what it takes.
Noone is telling that fresh should be able to transfer as soon as they open, people are simple asking that they should be open at some point so community wont be splitted.

Noone is splitted stop being mental dude holy xd

once fresh will be open community will split, you’re the one posting stupid stuff, dont ever tell me being mental

If you don’t play on it. It has nothing to do with you. Let people enjoy the game how they want. If people want to start over and ditch your server. Then so be it. So long it keeps people entertained.
Hell it would be a great idea to do FSS every year, just for the sake of a soft reset.
Obviously those servers will get merged. The hype is dead. Queues will be massive early on, and people will just play a bit for fun and move on. It’s nothing crazy happening and it’s only a handful of servers lol

New World before had over 300servers with less than 800 players.
They won’t let that happen again dw lol
And so long players come in, you should rather be happy because the only thing that would actually “split the community” is the game dying again cause you know how many are left from my diehard sweat guild of 200 players? Maybe 8 who still login now only to experience Brimstones.

As multiple people have stated (and quoted), should we decide to revert this decision in regards to transfers, we will announce it - however, at this time, we don’t have any plans to do this.
