Fundamental Flaws and Simple Solutions, Part 1, Territory War

One of the most complained-about and damaging aspects of this game is how 50-75 people will dominate an entire server, creating proxy companies or simply supporting smaller companies and turning the entire warfare system into a boring, stale experience.

The simple solution is letting attackers pick their time of attack within a server-wide time slot. For instance 5pm-10pm Eastern for the Eastern servers.

The first thing we would see is the two weaker factions teaming up against the larger one and pushing them into multiple wars at one time. This is not a set victory, as the more dominant faction still has a chance to win, just not with their best 50 at every territory.

Additionally, if the server has been brought dominated by a small group, then this group will lose everything but one territory. If they want to regain territory, they’ll still have to risk being pushed back. For instance, if they own Everfall and push Windsward, the opposing factions have a window where they can push Everfall and copy the time-of-attack set at Windsward and force the dominant faction to make a choice.

This design seems infinitely better than the one we have currently, and I’m writing this with hopes that someone will explain to me why I’m wrong.

No on can explain why you are wrong, because you aren’t.

Total server domination from the same group of people, through shell company loopholes is a problem that needs to be addressed. Scot lane said as much in his last interview. We’ll see how that goes.
