The devs themselves have stated before they do NOT read the forums and the mods who do read this stuff probably have no more idea whether the plan is scrapping furniture making altogether or just putting the trade on hold for a few months etc than we do ourselves.
The best you can hope for, if you make enough noise, is the mods may pass some details on to the devs.
