Game can't initialize, no product information found! What on earth?

So I just tried to start up the game and I’m getting this error:

Anybody in support have any idea what the heck this is??? I purchased and downloaded the game through Steam, and I’m using the same shortcut icon that the install put on the desktop from the day I bought the game.

Hope this can be fixed!
