I played the game for 15 hours over the last couple of days with no issues and then randomly today it is constantly restarting my pc. This is the only game that will do it. I have tried everything that has been mentioned in the forum as “fixes.” Nothing has worked for me. The game may let me play for 10-20 minutes or it may restart right after loading the main menu.

Do we know if amazon is working on a fix to this? Or is it just being brushed under the rug?

If it helps any:
I’m running a 3060 Ti, with an MSI Mobo and I have never had high temps, nor have I had my PC restart. So I doubt it’s a Ti issue. At least not the 3060 Ti

I doubt it is GPU related i am running a Titan XP. Little bit dated now but it’s still a great card. and having the issue.
I think the games just randomly calling for a invalid paramiter and the GPU doesn’t know what to do with it. I believe this is 100% on amazons side but as said above it only effects a few of us. I just wish i knew why
never had issues before today but now after this game made my pc restart a bunch my other games are doing the same thing. I tried them all last night with no issues. My cpu says it is at 100 percent usage when i try and load any game. I never had this issue before. I have watched my temps after the first couple restarts to see if thats the issue and all of the temps have been at 70c or lower. Not sure what to do because now i can not play any game
This is how I fixed it, before launching the game:
- Delete folder AGS from appdata/Local
- Delete folder AGS from appdata/Roaming
- Delete folder AGS from %temp%
(To be sure I would recommend to delete everything from %temp%, temp and prefetch)
In addition:
- Try to cap your framerate from the AMD,nvidia control panel not just in game
- Try to use lower GPU power (I use 60% and it works for me personally)

I’ve had no issues playing all day today (probably around 10 hours) after updating my bios. I will return here if my pc starts to crash again

ryzen 9 5900x
MSI 3070ti gaming x trio
750w PSU
b550-f gaming wifi mobo
32gb 3200mhz corsair vengeance ram
Can we have some traction on this. I still get PC crashes randomly from time to time especialy after teleporting.
Additionally I’m experiencing game freezes on Corrupted Breaches after they go between phases.

For information: I was getting constant computer reboots on OBT. It looks like now I’m getting a system crash instead.
thanks a lot man capping framerate from the nvidia control panel and lowering the GPU power to %60 actually worked.

I updated nvidia GPU drivers yesterday and my PC started to restart in the menu, So I went to MSI afterburner and went for the temp limit and set it to 90c instead of 83c as standard. That helped me. For me it seems like there are a temp spike on my GPU in the menu once at startup after that my temps are around 66c no matter what I do ingame. I am running MSI 3070 ti ventus. I have capped FPS ingame to 60 and running everything on full.
Hope this helps. Also if you are planning to raise the temp limit, I recommend that you monitor the temps to see if they go down over time.
Guess I managed to fix it I tried power limit at 60% and 65% before in MSI afterburner but that didn’t work.
I capped framerate in Nvidia control panel at 58 fps and set the power limit to 75%, I also added “-dx12” to New World launch options in Steam not sure if that did anything but I have been playing for 20+ hours with no real problems.
Fair warning that while similar things worked for me for a while eventually the issues returned with a vengance and did not stop until I replaced my GPU.
Any working update from dev’s?
I dont want to underpower etc, a game should work by itself without crashing and brick’ing
Many people have the same problem. I did also have it and it took me 2 days to figure out how to play the game. I have an $1200 GPU and i need to play the game on low setting and limit my GPU to 65% ( Also need to cap FPS to 60)
ComeOn… Ppl with hi’end pc’s should not make alot of setup and downgrade their settings in order to be able to play a game. i have tried alot of the suggested but nothing works for me. The Devs needs to fix the game so you can play it.

I know I’ve had this trouble before due to overheating.
so i got similar setup but rtx 3060ti and got around 400h in new world everything was working fine but i stop playing for around 2 weeks becouse path of exile new league
and today i was planing to come back to new wold when pc restarteed with same error kernel 41
at first i lowered me power limit to 78% that how use to run it updated drivers , cleaned registry
did steam file check but no effect got freeze + restart but on 3rd try restart was after 15min , not 3 and got on monitor that it lost singal to gpu me heart kinda skip a bit after this
and got no clue what to do next , should i try to lower it more or just dont poke a bear and move to a difrent game , kinda waste got me engliering to 191
