i wish it was an internet issue i have 900 mbs download 500 upload

Had the same issue yesterday where the game just froze every 15-60minutes. It either unfroze after a minute or two or simply shutdown. No crash report or anything. 300+ hours in and yesterday was the first time I’ve had this issue.

EDIT: Haven’t played today so no idea if the problem still persists. Asked about it in global and a few others said that they’ve had this exact same issue and for everyone it has started around the same time frame.

using these fixes didnt solve the crashing/freezing also:

Fix 1: Verify the integrity of game files.
Fix 2: Update your graphics driver
Fix 3: Make sure your system is up to date
Fix 4: Change in-game graphics settings
Fix 5: Increase your virtual memory
Fix 6: Delete specific game files

got it guys thank you for all that information , would you mind to share with us your logs and dxdiag?, we will need to further investigate what is going on with the game, if don’t know how to find your game logs and dxdiag just check out the inf below

1)Instructions for generating a DXdiag: Open and run DxDiag.exe

2)Instructions for finding the in-game logs:

Press Windows+R on the keyboard, type %appdata% and press enter.
Open the most recent file from this folder: /AppData/local/AGS/LogBackups.
Paste the contents of the file into your message.

my file doesn’t have Logbackups cant upload the dxdiag cuz of it being text can only attach images

game if i put the game into windowed and wanted to fullscreen it this is what happens

It is because you need to use a different route

Windows+R type %appdata% in your search bar

—> hit enter----> click on appdata —>then click on local —> ags->New World—> logbackups

if you can not find them please let me know

Hi Muzz, thanks for being responsive in this thread. I have experienced the game freezing up as well. Started happening only yesterday. Prior to that, have had 300+ hours on this game without any issues. Game is unplayable now, since I can’t quest on my 2nd character without the game sporadically freezing and my character getting killed by mobs.

im having the same issue with heavy force i cant provide my LOG right now but will be when i finish my work

My current crashed issues happened to me Today (11/5/2021 8:09 - 8:11 AM). Please help me, They crashed me 10 times atleast even though I tried VirtualMemory, Turnoff Overlay, VerifygameOn Steam, Uninstall game, Tried VPN, Delete savedata,preload_settings, Update Nvidia Driver 496.49, Using EasyDriver for all updates,… !
