Game crashing on launch

I’ve seen this posted before, and have tried every step i’ve read to solve the issue, but every time i launch the game i get to the New World splash screen, i get the spinning blue circle, then after 30 seconds the game quits without an error.

Ive checked my PC specs, and there are no issues there. Ive validated the game files, uninstalled and reinstalled (tried to different harddrives too) made sure windows 10 is up to date, even bought a pro version of Drive Easy and made sure everything there was up to date. Graphics card is up to date, Installed latest C++. Tried to delete folders mentioned in another thread, but because ive never gotten past the load screen there is nothing inside the New World folder. Ran windows in clean state and i still get the same issue.

Intel(R) Core™ i7-3930K CPU @ 3.20GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980
32 GB Ram
Windows 10 64bit

Any help would be appreciated. So far i have 35 minutes of game time through steam, and all that time has been crashing on the load screen. Ive never gotten past it.

Hello @lucient! We are sorry you are not able to enjoy your adventure in New World.

Feel free to join this post for troubleshooting steps:

I hope this helps

Ive followed all these steps already and im still crashing on load.

+1 here and have topic also about this and guess what ? Noone cares

Hi there @lucient @LastMetalVI ! Can you guys do this for me please?

  1. Exit the game completely, and wait exactly 61 minutes before attempting to sign back in.
Note: Exiting Steam may be necessary as well. Then run steam as admin and launch game from steam app not from the desktop shortcut.

  2. Use the Event Viewer to review Event Logs to determine the cause of the application crash.

  3. Run System File Check: Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files.

Let me know if this helps!

Ive just finished following all your steps. I ran the system file checker tool yesterday when i was trying, and that did fix some errors, but i ran it again to follow your steps and came up with no issues.

Still have the same issue. Have included a screenshot of the Event Log.

any more information on this? Im out of ideas.

Hello, @lucient!

We are sorry you are not able to enjoy your adventure in New World. Dev Team’s aware of the game crashing and they’re currently working on it.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

i know this is a week old post but just in case i figured id drop my personal solution as i had this issue. l literally DID NOT have this issue till i updated to the Oct 12 Nvidia graphics driver, i rolled it back to the Sept 20 Driver and BAM ! no launch crash. as i said, prior to the new Nvidia driver i DID NOT have the launch crash. hope this helps .

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried what you said and unfortunately had the same issue.

Ive tried looking in task manager when i load the game to see what happens. I can see the Easy Anti Cheat run and New World start running. Under details, the memory starts going up under New World and once it gets to around 1.,600,000 K it goes to “Not Responding”, then comes back to responding, gets up to about 2,800,000, goes back to “Not Responding” and then just crashes to the desktop.

I would think by now there would be some acknowledgement of the issue…

Any further update you’re able to give to this? Im still having exactly the same issues 3 weeks later… Since then ive uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, including uninstalling and reinstalling steam itself first.

Since then i have installed it on my work machine to test it out and it runs on there, but i currently remote into that machine, so that is not a permanent solution.

I watched the process details when i launch. On the PC where it does work, it does seem to fluctuate between responding and not responding a few times as the memory climbs. But it caps out around 4GB before it kicks over to the launch screen.

As i said in my last post, it gets up to about 2.8GB before it goes back to “Not Responding” and all of a sudden the memory drops down to nothing and the application just quits.

Can you please give a response to this, or at least let me know what other details i can give you to help try and solve the problem.

I tried this too, but my game would still crash (and have worse FPS).
So it won’t work for everybody.

Can i please get some sort of mod response on this? Its close to a month since i wrote about this and i still have the exact same issue. I’ve done everything i have seen and kept an eye on people with similar issues. Please let me know what other steps i can take to help you help me trouble shoot this issue. This is extremely frustrating and disappointing that there has not been any further help on this matter. Or if you cant help can you put me in contact with someone who can?

Still no response? This is a month after we the no help or even response on the matter. I’ve even tried support tickets and get no response. This is extremely frustrating and very disappointing service…

IT seems devs dont give a fuck of customers at all I didnt manage to enter the game when alpha started then beta testing and over a month after release the same shit ( one time miracle 8 hour of game play happened and the update crashed everything( )
The same exception code 0xc0000409
Only when fuckn EAC certificates deleted can enter but not further then main menu
