Just want to say, with 350 INT, a fire staffs base damage is only 1100… IG just below. Meanwhile musket, bow, axe, hatchet, and hammer are at least 500 more with STR/DEX. bow and musket can get almost 2000 base damage with their builds as well. so please stfu about mages
You can make mmo with good pvp but it cant be pvp on open world where top clan/guild dominate map. If you close this into good ranked pvp modes and leave open world to pve - it should work well to keep both type of players.
Just add ranked cross server arenas, ranked opr or even ranked war mode and we can make normal wars way less rewarding.

If game is dead you dont play for anything do you? There are 2 types of pvp players out there:
- once that play to improve own skill and outplay other top players in fair games
- noobs that getting carried in mass pvp that likes feeling of being better than other players

PvP isnt just Black and White. That alone shows me you have no idea about pvp. We need Organic PvP and not afking in town queueing for PvP to spawn someone fight and leave.
We all do this by playing pvp regular. And Fair games? Why do i care if someone has 20 stats less and 3 perks less? That is not my business. If you join pvp you know what youre getting into.
What is mass pvp to you? 5v5 10v10 or actual Sieges.
Sure you can have mass pvp no problem. Just remove all adventages it gives over all other players on server. Would you play it just for for? Since i can get any money 90% + of “pvp players” would not.
This are same ppl that cry that their build is getting nerfed. Same ppl that cry when we talk about normalizing pvp modes like arena and opr. “We work for our gear…” crowd. They are not pvp players. They are toxic minirity that any game will be better with out.
True pvp players would like to see normalied pvp modes, ranking system and dont care much about open world pvp. Especially about reward system.
No thats the again that idiotic take some people have. You signed up on an MMORPG. Which has a progression part which effects most of the Games. There are some Games that have no real Progression but those are kinda niche i guess. So answer me this: did you play since start? And if yes: Would you have played this long if it was not would be for the progression? What would you do?
Ofc not. Theres so many games where you can do pvp from the get go. In this game its not like that. I love progressing and i love seeing me getting stronger.
I couldnt care less if you equalize OPR and Arena. Would make it even more unbalanced.
Thats a foolish take. I play PvP Games since 2006 and every single game had progression which affected the PvP and all were giga fun. Last Chaos, Tera. Aion. BDO. AA. just to name a few. All did super well with this model.

Yes i have 1900h+ in game. And i still stand that true pvp is only when both sides are equaly skilled and geared. Farming noobs that have less game experience and way lower gear is not a skill.
Sure progression is ok. But not on all pvp modes. Like on open world it does make sense, but on arena? Its stupid.

Brotherman. I have 1000+ hours in the Alpha alone. 400 Hours Beta 1000h Live 400 in previews. I play this game ALOT. I led one of the strongest Comps on a Server 4 weeks holding Everfall. (before shell comps and all that shit). Iam a Community Manager of a Multigaming Clan with 700 members. You will never in a thousand years be able to equalize pvp. Its it impossible to have “the same skill”. Therefore you whole concept if flawed. Gear makes it that people play the game.

No i crafted and ran dungeons countles times to get my Gear. I played the game how it was made. I got the gear and got better and did pvp.
It’s not about the scaling numbers idiot. It’s about the way the damage is applied. Ice storm, ice pylon, pillar of fire, flame thrower, hell even the useless rain of fire can put out crazy aoe. The problem I was pointing to (which I guess you missed intentionally or is to complicated for you to understand) is that a mage can continually throw out stupid amounts of useless aoe damage that does next to nothing yet still be placed in first place at the end of the match with 0 kills. So nah, you can stfu.
Melee is NOT the basis of the game. I’m a ranged mage and have been since day 1 with no plan on ever going to mele.
Achievables suck for pvp. Go back to old school bf1942 or css. Hell go back to doom even, or goldeneye.

No one is talking about eqalizing skill. We are talking about normalizing chracter lvl and item lvls. So you take dude that is lvl 30 and scale him up to lvl 60 - more attibutes he can spent inside game mode. Then you take his 300GS items and scale them up to 625 - again, moer attributes nothing else. And this would do.

What are you talking about? Europe has got more than 3 Servers and 2 German Servers. All European Servers have had a merge and they are all alive and kicking.

The game mechanics will allow you to have all T5 stations and they will be immune to invasion downgrades. Instead of trying to have them all in 1 town, spread them out. If a town has 10 or less total upgrades (fort and town), it will never lose anything to an invasion. That means that it only takes 3 towns to have everything and it cost less in upkeep to do so. On Roca, we had everything available T5 all the time, in fact, the smelter in Brightwood had been T5 continuously since February. Now that we have been merged into Barri, I’m back to having to check towns to see where to do cooldowns.
We can argue endlessly about the health of a server when it comes to dungeons, opr, etc…However, there is no excuse for a server not having stable T5 crafting and refining stations.
