I returned to the game, and like before, trying to do something good here. Porposing changes, etc, not giving AGS a break to take a breath. And what You doing? Yep. Game is in good state. Not very good. But good. What is killing game:
lack of new content (but since we drop to liek 30k in peak i think we had only players that love game) - so this alone shoudnt kill game fast enough
bad designs in game that were never addresses - like top companies taking whole map. Lack of cross server game modes.
I put my money that for last few months what is killing game is second part. I know many players that quit the game between march and now just bc they were in companies that at some point coudnt fight vs top companies so they had no reason to play game any more. Since they were playing for wars mostly - not for gold, Just to have fun and own crest on map.
If i had to keep only one probleme about the game, even if there are more than +10 HUGE probleme about balancing/pvp/content … etc, it would be THE WARS.
The core of PvP is WAR, since PvP open world never existed (GC was not intentional, and it was the greatest thing that happen on this game for PvP, but they delated it… how cool is that )
Wars participant are decided by 2 man, so basicly for each side 1 player decide witch 49 other player are allow to have fun or not. THIS HAS NO SENS AT ALL.
And in case you didnt notice, the firt M from MMORPG is for MASSIVE.

Iv played Lineage 2 for more than 10 years before NW, evry sunday during 2 hours there was Siege, witch was basiclay 2 Aliance fighting each other with 300+ player on each side, moving all around the word, attack several region in same time.
So yeah when i log in NW, i can feel only frustration becuz i cant do any war and you know why ? I dont play the Meta IG/BB or WH/xx so somone else runing this build is choosen.
So being forced to play some specifik build to be “allow” to play war, witch is just at the moment a CC spaming party into Ice blizzard, no thx,

I am player in online games since … 18 years. Since 18 years I am dealing with online games, mostly mmos. And I have never ever posted or spam the chat with the chldish shit like “game is dead, game is dead”, " I dont playt it, You shoudln’t either" , “game is dying because of blabla” …
Like I said, I hope You can get understand that those statements ARE NOT HELPING.

You seems not to understand why i made this topic. Reason is not to cry game is dead. Reason behind is to pass information to devs what in players opinion is going to kill game very soon and some ideas they have to consider very fast to prevent that from happening. Since if we can have at least 1 server per region that is not downgrading due to invasions and 400-600+ ppl playing it still kinda would work.

I belive that most ppl that still play game and post on forum love game and would like it not to die. There is no other game we can replace this one with. So its very sad looking how it does bleed players for so long. And now we are facing situation where there might be no single server per region that works well.

Now lets get to the epeen “I am online player since 18 years” part. I don’t even know what that is supposed to mean. Are you trying to say you know more about gaming then I do because you have been gaming for 18 years? Ok let me whip out my epeen too then.
I have been gaming since the only games you could play were coin operated video games in a store. Technically they had stuff for home in like 1970 but not too many people had those and the was just briefly before I was old enough. My first at home video game was pong. It connected to a tube TV much like a console game does of today. It had 4 different game modes that were picked by an up and down slider. It had two controllers which were nothing more than a stick that slid up and slid down. All 4 game modes were basically the same because it wasn’t so advanced back then. Think of the video game as a square line that moved up and down the screen and a small square that you could hit back and forth like tennis.
I got my first computer when I was 13 years old. I got this at a time when no one had home computers. In fact even most schools didnt have computers back then. It was so new that when the school did get them I had to teach the class because teachers didnt even know how to use them. Back then there was no world wide web internet. There was online though by connected to other computers sometimes big like server sometimes just another computer through a dial up modem that was 300 baud. You had to actual dial with your home telephone and then disconnect the chord when you heard the tones and connect it to the modem to connect with another computer. Now you may not know what a 300 baud modem is or even what a home telephone is, but lets just say this was very slow connection. I will give you an example. Next time you go look at a nudey picture online today it is instant. With a 300 baud modem it would take you 45 minutes just to get to the top of the chest. A phone is a phone but it actually plugged into a jack in the house and everything was sent through electrical wires. It had a big receiver you put to your ear and the other end you talk through. That was plugged through a cable into another big fixture that actually had buttons on it that you push to dial. Similar to this…
Back then developers didnt even encrypt anything so you could hit pause/break once the game had loaded and type /list and see all the code. You could even change it. Those were offline games though. Back to online games. My Aunt was in the air force and when she got out she worked as a system security administrator for a company called Martin and Marietta. They made stuff like electronics for missiles and computer components for the space shuttle back then. They also had some very cool games that they created and my Aunt allowed me to dial into their computer so that I could play them.
Do I need to go on here? Fast forward, I’ve been playing online games since they existed. I’ve been playing MMOs since they existed. I earned my bachelor’s degree in computer science before you even started gaming.
Does any of that mean anything? No. So I dont know why you brought it up.
I never said the game was dead. I never told or tell anyone that they shouldnt play the game. I simply pointed out the truth and the truth is that the game is bleeding players and it hasnt stopped. There is a reason for that. The reason is because people dont like it enough to keep playing it. That lies on the developers to do a better job and make better decisions. The game being in this state has nothing to do with any other reason than that.
I’ve played a lot of mmos and i’ve played them since they were first created. I’ve seen this happen time and time again. So please save me your crap about how its the players fault. It isn’t.

This whole conversation started because you had blinders on and dont believe that the game is dying at all. I simply pointed out the facts that it is indeed bleeding players at a pretty fair rate. Sure maybe that miracle patch will bring some back for a couple weeks. Keep up the hope. But I am done with this conversation.
